Psytrance at Oregon?

Hi waht's up? I've just started to read the nw604 to be ready for my arrival at Eugene, wtf??????????? I thought it was a psytrance list, not an anti-globalization one. So what should I expect? Can Astrix loving capitalist patriots like me go to parties without being kicked and even without being bombed with "Save Africa" and such stuff? Not that I hate hippies, I even was on my way to become one, but I would really like to enjoy psytrance without the rest of the people looking at me with hostility and wanting me to leave. I'm assuming that the majority will be hippies and the like, which I can handle, but do you have guys like me in parties?

Dear "normal" psy_eugene, very soon Astrix and cohorts will separate themselves from the psychedelic hippies by copyrighting the terms "psytrance" and "full-on" - and you will no longer be confused. There will be daytime, large, legal parties, sponsored by Coca Cola, Nike, and Bud Lite, where Astrix, GMS, and the rest will be playing so-called Psytrance (tm) and no anti-globalization activists with long hair will be allowed in.

Just wait another year or so.. for now, just wait until the Coast-to-Coast Psytrance (tm) tour featuring GMS, Astrix, Infected, and MC Fishy comes to the mega-club in your metropolitan area. And please quit bugging the hippies because it just upsets them unnecessarily and you don't want to know what an angry hippie is capable of.

          ..it's just another party..

DiMiTry: I so hope that you're right!!! Until your vision comes true, I guess I'll be going to hippie parties at Oregon, this is not to bad neither. I hope that angry hippies won't kill me or something, I mean it's against the principals, right? And please don't be angry on me!!! There is no reason!!! I'm just trying to give you the same attitude that you give to guys like me, that's all.

Edit: I hope that hippies will be allowed in these parties, why not add some colors???? I just don't sure that they will come.....

no, they won't kill you. They'll just slip something in your drink. Ever dance with differential equations?

"The news that 18 poor countries, mainly located in sub-Saharan Africa, would have $40 billion in debt written off allowed finance ministers of the Group of Eight (G8) industrialized countries to pose as global anti-poverty crusaders--with celebrity activists Bono and Bob Geldof praising their generosity.

In reality, the deal--whose full details haven’t yet been disclosed--will require further steps by the 18 countries to carry out economic “reforms.” That means deregulation, privatization and concessions to foreign traders and investors with the aim of “opening” their economies."

in other words, the debt will be cancelled but the african countries will hand over public utilities into corporate hands.
good job hippies

"We come in peace"

Hi everybody. Lately I had a lot of fights with many people here. I've finally realised that I'm very new here and there are a lot of things I don't know yet, so it's better to just shut up. Now I'll try to learn from you and try to get along with the people here no matter who they are. Thank you everybody for repeating this to me until it hit me, see sometimes this can help... Now you can try your best and you won't hear a bad word on anyone but me here. Peace everybody

Hi psy_eugene... It's great that you are new here and looking for what's available in the music that you have chosen to follow. Just remember one of life's golden rules and you should be fine. You get what you put out.... If you are intending on coming out to learn and promote positivity, that's exactly what you will get back.

Now back to Oregon... I'm sure Brett will mention that there is a lot of the darker edged stuff played in Oregon. I would encourage you to attend the phoenix festival where there will be multiple genres and styles of music and people, and you will experience the burning man culture on a smaller more managable stage. I will be there as well, and would thoroughly enjoy having a conversation with you to see what's up with you...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
