i mean, he was so intensively involved in playing live! even if you leave the place and clime up to the next floor of the building with the chill out, you still saw him tweeking and rolling in front of your third eye. he was extremely present in the moment doing live...
if it is a fake, then he is one of the best illusionists on the pult playing live.

If you look at that video of him playing at Freqs it seems pretty obvious what he is doing if you watch which controls he's actually manipulating. |

funny, i didn't even recognize him, is this psykovsky ? 
i guess, he is not faking, it is just an "occupational disease" . this guy seems to really enjoy tweeking the knobs or just touching them and thinking about what those knobs would be hypothetically able to induce. he seems to enjoy the thought more than the real sound. may be like beethoven, you know, he did not heard the sound either, he just imagined it.
he acts like the conditional reflex stated by the famous psychologist pavlov - you know the dogs of pavlov? i guess every live artist has this kind of a reflex. if you touched the knobs hundreds of times and if you induced exctasy in the crowd every time you touched the knobs, then it is quite possible that this turns to a reflex without a substantial quality behind it.
