I totally agree with psymartin on his views of psykvosky's live set. Saw him in nepal about 3 years ago. I felt the exact same thing ... so many build ups and breaks, the great flowing hypnotic aspect of a good night psy set was completely missing for me.
The producer in him has made his mark on the scene with some unforgettable tunes but his live set in my opinion was utterly disappointing.
I saw KDD live 2 years ago. Now this was live set to remember, great flow, started off in one spectrum and by the end it was whole another bpm and energy level, conceptually the whole set was perfect. There were about 2 breaks and just enough build ups here and there in the whole set so that the dancers could take breather sometimes. Love this guy's music .... it is definitely timeless and really suits my taste.

Psykovsky jumped the shark like 8 years ago. Used to be very cool music and than it just became a huge mess

One of the reasons I don't like this type of music. Listened to 2 minutes, then skipped ahead 10 minutes, listened for a couple, then skipped 10 minutes..
It all sounds the same and no one is dancing, and if they are its the 'stutter in place like a zombie' dance.
But seriously what ever is said one thing is for sure. This is taking production mixing to a whole different level. All those hundreds of sounds all distinct in harmonious crazy energetic levels and controlling it, its nuts. Its not any artist that can put the "kovsky" in his name

Personally nothing in that clip strikes me as new/different/interesting from a producing POV.

Nothing strikes me as interesting period.
But I am not an objective listener when it comes to this music. I could go on and on about why I don't like it, but its like some polka music fan, explaining to me why they do not like psy-trance.
Besides, people like it and it makes them happy, that can only be a good thing.
