psychedelic animated?

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this on, but reading the Psychedelic movies thread made me curious about Anime - are there any truly psychedelic animated films or tv series out there? 
I know a few:
Princess Mononoke
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Jack
Ninja Scroll
The Simpsons 
any more suggestions?

don't see how most of those series are psychedelic...
but while we're at it...some of my favorite anime series...apart from the ones already listed here

Beserker
Evangelion is just a bit too much for me at times, especially the last couple of episodes
Also I suggest you check out Spirited Away, it's from the same director that made Princess Mononoke and it's better IMHO...and a bit more wierd too

I know how it sounds! but really, its v.psychedelic combining computer generated FX withtraditional anime. Akira (of course) check out a form called 'bubblegum manga' if your into doing visuals... its what a few Vjs use in england, to great effect!
its basically overload manga, well its not even manga anymore, its just, too much...
but its brill to mix to in segments check out the flash animations of :
NINJAI::The Little Ninja

Most of the Animatrix was too dark and violent for me. Some parts like the Haunted House and the machine Dream, the ones without nuclear explosions and rivers of blood, were great. |
