Heh, haven't you already gotten used to digging trough junk?!  I, personally, never get a CD before listening to it from start to the end.
I don't know about full on, progresisive or other types of music that are (were) considered psychedelic, but the full power music has a lot less low quality junk released than those cheesy styles.

hummm...no Zero, i think it is a little bit elitist to think full power music has less low quality releases..in fact right now full power music is becoming more mainstream then ever..much more crap is being released more than ever.
and if you aren´t much coinesseur of other genres, you have to dig a little bit in that - i advice you to do it - you will be surprised that in other genres there is good music aswell.

why they still call this music psy trance? it is no longer like this. it is more methcore, or amphetitrance. it is most music for speed freak.
if you do so much lsd you do not want to listen to 160 bpm distortion....
I think.
I did lots of lsd, the last thing I would want to hear is this super speed meth trance.
This is whole new vibe, completely different flow. not many on lsd, everybody on crack.

I think you guys are focusing to much on the speed of the BPM....dont tell me you cannot find deep, emotional, psycadelic-trance in all sorts of BPM ??!!
What i feel is that for the past year or two some off low BPM psy-trance is loosing some of the elements which can relate to psy-trance....and on some of the high BPM psy-trance the emotional, deep side of psy-trance is getting lost in the midst of the BPM battle going on....and of course im leaving outside the pop-trance....as the name points-out the "psy" is missing all along!!!!
To give an example almost everyone can relate...on Boom2006 some of the music at night was amazing but i also heard stuff "beyond" psycadelic. The same happen in the afternoon when all of a sudden (as i was going to get my t-shirt from the dance-floor) some guy was playing House-music....it was not prog. with house influences, it was House-music!!!!!

I disagree. every thing is subjective. there is bound to be music that is more psychedlic than the other. it totally depends on how the listener peceives it. some trash according to me could be psychdelic for another. ive noticed that when im in a state of trance : being more sensitive to sound , i tend to filter out what is good and what is bad more than when im sober. which is probably getting n the way of perceiving it totally objectively . and it goes without saying it , that it could work differently for other people, like you everyones different

Psytrance is still very psychedelic if you look out for the right releases...

Fractal Cowboys
Polyphonia
Troglodytes
Procs
Hallucinogenic Horses
..just to name a few
not psychedelic??

psy no longer psy???..........bullshit.....some is not even trance...but some is evolving to get better and better...
full power trance...amphe trance??....what?...in my experience full power parties are focused on hallucinogens and psychadelia rather than amphetamins.....
waveshapist....do a lot of lsd on good full power music......my advice! like 10% of night/dark music is over 160 bpms....concentrate on the remaining 90%....and youll see distortions.....in your music tastes...!
btw never saw any crack smokers at psy parties....too expensive....
in a little while we are going to say acid in no longer psychedelic as everyone will be smoking dmt at 14 instead of sigarettes.....
