I thought the music was awesome all the way through. Definitely brought me "there"... for quite a long time, might I add. There were plenty of long driven plateaus... LONG plateaus that were just saturated with energy, and just when I thought it'd simmer down, it hit again for one more round... And more... and more... and more...

Can't... stop... moving...

$*&#@*%&*!(!!!

Hopefully some of it got recorded.

Yeah I had a great time, by the way does anyone have pictures of the party.?
P.S. We should have another party, either this weekend or memorial day weekend.           "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security"

Wow this party was so much fun it's difficult for me to capture all the great moments! Visually I heard this was the best PSI party yet, with Spook's insanely amazing visuals, Dave and Marria's fluoro string art, and who could not foam at the mouth over Shane from Touch Samadhi's fractalicious tapestry art? Brilliant.
Some musical highlights for me were BSM's night sounds, Kri's deeeeep sunrise set, and Pat's mighty ass-shakin' progressive morning jive. Dmitry also played an interesting morning set. Dare I also mention the Dr. Spook vs. IcycoiL tag-team "Powerfluff" set? It was an honour to close out the party with some chill. Always wonderful to party in the Pine Barrens, PSI never ceases to amaze me!

BIG thanks to Ben Lightomatic, the 'sound angel', who repeatedly generously provides much of his sound-system & blacklights to help keep the PSI vibe alive. Also Touch Samadhi for driving all that way and pleasing the senses as always. The one and only Dr. Spookypants who trekked out from the West Coast and made me say "holy shit" about 500 times while I watched all the colours morph before my eyes. And last but certainly not least, Pat and Theo who just keep building these parties bigger and better!

Dimitry! Not all was so bad, so don't twist my wordz - and the vibe was very good. I did not like some of the DJ's - Is it not OK to say?

you said you didn't think some of the stuff sounded like psytrance and I asked you "what do you think of as psytrance?" i'd like to hear an answer.           ..it's just another party..

@boinkyboink

how could DiMiTry have twisted your words, all he did was quote you directly!!!

it is perfectly ok to say "i did not like such and such dj." however you went further than that by questioning the production values and going so far as to call it "not even psytrance." this can and should be considered insulting.

clearly you don't know the artists, kri and alex are some of the most well respected and widely playing djs in the US. they put a lot of time and hard work into the studio to bring us their live act (to say nothing of hauling all the equipment on a looooooooong drive). and to dismiss it as "not even psytrance" is not just rude, but wholly ignorant as well.

i think the best thing was when the music stopped at like 10 something in the morning and someone put on duran duran (i think)....

that would be me

and btw, that was depeche mode - enjoy the silence.

agree with karmakanik, although i do not always enjoy kri's sets either (is that what you refered to boinkyboink?) i appreciate the fact kri is making music, he is one of the few on the east coast.. so that in itself is a good thing.
wasnt at the party because of the 3 hour festival drive this weekend (2.5 hrs to nj was too much for me in 2 weeks span)... but i heard great things about it.

I think I was a little unhappy that eg~bot didn't spin, but hey, the music made the night beautiful and unique. I had an amazing party, and the music really had an effect on the vibe. Whether you enjoyed the music alot or not so much, just remember that the music made the night what it was. And what a time it was.

I wanted to thank everyone for making my first outdoor psytrance experience so amazing. Especially Spook for treating me as an equal, showing me the ins and outs of the VJ biz, and for, in general, giving me so many pointers on promoting/working party politics. Miss IcycoiL, it was a pleasure meeting you even though you took most of my words as the inane mutterings of one too far spaced to touch even a hint of earth (your sunshine set was the perfect cap to my party experience). Kri, thanks for letting me hang over your shoulder while you were in booth. Alex, hope you enjoyed the shade of my impromptu tent in the morning. Christian, I immensely enjoyed your set (the second I've seen--the first, the NYC party on Friday), sorry if I was a bit manic and dissociative in our chats. Pat, I loved your progressive set; it was the perfect thing to clear our heavy heads as the day broke its first face (extra-special thanks for "Enjoy the Silence" and super-extra-special thanks for playing out the entire track). You guys all made me feel like part of the family and it was a pleasure sharing the space of that Jersey field with you.
