I CAN NOT WAIIIITTTTTT FOR THIS PARTY!!! I had the time of my life at the HALCYON party!!! omg..... it's gunna be an amazing weekend! Going to see PVD in central park then i'm going to an even better party in the pine barrens!!! Thanks for the amazing time last time! I also LOVE dissonanc's pictures... and the one you took of our group is awesome! It's sucha beautiful place too... the sunrise over the turntables was AMAZING! i've never been to sucha great party! Amazing people too... who ever cut the watermellon up is amazing too lmao! I also brought my friend erica to her first party and she's hooked now! WELL I'LL SEE YOU ALL THERE!! |

after the last party i don't want to go to another party held at a club ever again. it was SICK!!! hopefully weather is nice again and i will be there. heck i will be there either way. the true essence of psy trance is an outdoor party. loved it. respect to PSI and all involved and all that showed up.

I had my weekend planned out. I was going to be in NYC for the weekend. Was going to go see PVD at Central Park for old times sake and then catch KoxBox (albolute inspiration!) & Xdream live later that night at the Spirit club.
But then I heard about this event and saw the pictures from the last gathering. Changed my mind right there! The energy captured in the photographs is fabulous. Reminds me of old goa raves at disco valley. And if Kri is playing there's not a chance in the world im going to miss it. His set at Geologic was a spirutual rollercoaster and a 2 hour drive to experience that again is peanuts.
Really looking foward to this event. It will be my first outside the midwest, so i cant wait to see new smiles.

11pm - 11am, a full 12 hours of music!
A Free Open Air Full Moon Tribal Gathering For Music, Dance, Art, Free Expression, and Peace in the scenic Pine Barrens of Southeastern New Jersey. A trancendental dance experience, a pagan celebration, a journey into SHANGRI-LA!!!
Please join us for an evening of psychedelic trance in a beautiful open air forest setting under the light of the full moon.
Location is approximately 1 hour from Philadelphia and 2 from from NYC. Directions will be sent out in the week preceding the event.

Blue Spectral Monkey has been collecting and spinning constantly since 1996. Due to his enthusiasm, devotion, and mastery of the craft, BSM is widely recognized as one of the leading psychedelic trance/psy-chillout DJs in the US. His trance sets are often dark and twisted, pounding and mysterious, a futuristic symbiosis of tribal intensity and technological meltdown.
DiMiTry (JaggedSound - Boulder, CO)
A perennial resident of the open air party scene in the Rocky Mountains, DiMiTry is known for his funky, danceable, highly psychedelic style of music. Making his last stop before heading to the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert, he brings a bag full of morning stormers to cool off your head and set your feet on fire.
ALEX (T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi - Asheville, NC)
Alex tuned into the otherworldly sounds of trance emanating from the far side of the appalachian mountains six years ago. Consequently inspired to propagate further iterations of futuristic trance music as “the Bastard,” he exploits the psychoacoustic capabilities of digital signal processing. Having already released his music on Inpsyde Media records, his celestial vibrations are now poised to take over North America.
KARMAKANIK (PSI - Philadelphia, PA/NYC)
Mescalinium's dynamic alter-ego presents a stunning set of late morning proggy grooves, rolling basslines and tweaked harmonics.

This is a free party and open to all. Suggested donation is $5-10 per person to help cover expenses.
Although we are praying to the meteorological demigods for nice conditions, please be prepared for inclement weather since this event is RAIN OR SHINE. It can also get unseasonably cold in the forest, so be sure to bring warm clothing as well.
Water, chai, fruits, sweets, and other snacks will be available, but feel free to bring extra water and food so there will be enough for everyone.
Due to security concerns, there will be NO FIRES PERMITTED WHATSOEVER!!!
(fire dancing/poi is ok)
Other Stuff To Bring:
Tents/camping gear, ponchos/rain gear, blankets, flashlights, drums, SHOVELS (just in case  ), good vibes, incense, tapestries, decorations, friends family children and pets, black lights, visuals, herbal refreshments, sun screeen, trash bags, toilet paper, and anything you feel will add to the communal experience.
You are also encouraged to bring SHADE STRUCTURES of some sort. these come in handy no matter what the weather
The location, a forest clearing, is a gorgeous, pristine oasis of nature in its purest form. We must respect the land and LEAVE NO TRACE. Please take care of all personal items/trash etc. (especially non-biodegradable cigarette butts!).

Since 2002, the Philadelphia Shamanista Initiative (PSI) has put together some of the most memorable open air psy-trance events in the new york/philly region. Having single-handedly revitalized the outdoor party scene 4 years ago with the infamous Acid Reflux parties, and already with 2 wildly successful events under their belt this summer, SHANGRI-LA will once again bring together the cosmic forces that guarantee a fully trancendental experience.

this party will show the true trance crowd... there are 2 other parties (a day before and on the same day), i believe those who go to them will miss out on the meaning of a trance party outdoors. do not miss this.
