my very good friend David Justin started this label. i've known him for about 10 years and he has been a very diverse dj/producer the whole time i've known him.
he has a tendency to play whatever the fuck he wants, as long as its psychedelic. to me, that's really what its all about.
progressive music can be very boring, but it can also be absolutely mind-bending in a hypnotic kind of minimalism. this is usually up to the person producing the stuff.
its all in the eye of the beholder. personally, all of the progressive types of dj's I've heard here in california really haven't played interesting enough stuff to keep me dancing. this is why i lean towards the styles with heavier percussion and rippin leads of the dark psy. |
