The psy trance scene is a small one and thats why the same and same artists come again simply because there are 40-50 good artists in our days in the scene and the rest are average to say the least and dont worth inviting them.By the way an artist visiting Greece once a year isnt the same and the same all over again, since May many many artists that havent been in Athens for a very long time visited our city so i dont know what "the same and same" really means.I am talking about artists like Freq,Cosmosis,Rastaliens,Tristan,Astrix,James Monro,Silicon Sound,Logic Bomb,Mr Peculiar,Orion,Bamboo Forest,Parasense,Altom and many more.

Just because some artists visit our country for many many years this doesnt mean that they come here all the time.

By the way apart Symphonix which other party got good vibes?Gaudium had very few people and when exactly did Liquid Soul and D Nox played in Athens?I dont remember seeing them in our city recently not to say at all.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Well i dont see any Liquid Soul advertisment yet and D Nox along with Beckers are already touring Mexico and Brasil till mid November.

So no feedback for these two events yet i guess.

Dear Detox, im glad that, because of my comment, one of your days was filled with the happiness of gkrinia, since i see that it makes you very happy... :-D
As i said, and you didnt understand, i loved and attended this party. My assumption was based on the fact that there were not many visitors, which was not so bad, because i saw many nice faces around But, as u said and I think, people dont usually go to hear a new ( for them) name, especially in the progressive trance. They go to proga parties only if they know that the Dj is famous.
Anyway, not to go into this matter too deep, my comment was not placed in order to give you a purpose to fight, but it was just a nice little comment without evil uprising tendencies ;-)
all the best mate ;-)           ...Reach for the moon. If you miss, just dance among the stars...

Even at an event with just locals (Steve Sai,Mike Riza,Tikis and more in the middle of the summer) there were more than 400 people.

Yes, in a thirsty for parties Athens -towards the end of the summer btw not the middle if i remeber right- with no other event or whatsoever playing at that time and only a few partys through the whole summer it would be a surpsise to gather anything less than 400. It was the only chance for those who werent on vacation for a party
i mean you cant compare these two events...

Anyway back on topic, overall i had a good time not many people yes but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Moreover Gaudium's set was great, the guy played very nice music and ofcourse bravo to Moonsun for putting a big effort to make this party happen !
Cheers!

Cybberia i am not fighting with you or anyone else,i am just trying to analyze one of the things that you said, you said that people dont listen much to progressive in Athens and now you also said that they dont listen much to new names.Well last weekend with Symphonix, that played first time ever in Athens, many people were there, just one weekend ago and the people had fun there so many of those people who listen to this music should be at the Gaudium event, they werent there so the problem is not the music or the new artist.Nothing more to say on this issue i guess.

Age Of Panic the party with the residents was on 7th of July when half of Athens was already on vacations,it wasnt in the end of summer and noone was thirsty for parties at that time since both June and May were tottally full with big events both of psy and progressive trance on every simple weekend, even the last party before that was Emok and Freq which was ofcourse a progressive event. And keep in mind that the party took place in a very far club in the end of the city where no public transport was available and that the place was closed and not operating for the last two years.

In any case for me it is more than obvious that the music is not the problem, lets all stop blaming the artists or the music or the people for not attending some parties and lets start looking for other reasons.

Just some food for thought for everyone including my self ofcourse because two parties in a row even by a different promoter gathering both no more than 100 people in total its worrying me a little bit.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Been visiting the forum rarely lately and because of the majority of the people (with all respect to them) and their posts,i've decided to not get involved in any kind of conversation or debate and just focus on the positive side of things.I think you people either dont understand or dont want to understand.First of all this party which you talking about had an important change. The party when it was firstly announced had La Baaz live performance (of the paste fame), Anders from Gaudium dj set and Fat Data/Atropa live perfomance along the greek residents held at Underworld (which in my opinion isnt a good venue for such kind of parties but anyway) with 25 euros entrance. Now what happened was that because of the failure of the first party with Brisker&Magitman at the same club, Nick moved the party to a different club, with a different line up as La Baaz was cancelled and most importantly on a different date;the same night with Void Networks Indie Free Festival. Now i dont know many people, including myself who would go and pay 18 euros for one foreign guest, having to pay 10 euros for a single drink and all the shitty things that comes together when going to a club that we all are aware of while the same night you could have a FREE party, with drinks at a logical price,2 stages with quality bands/acts/djs and most importantly held OUTDOORS! Not mentioning how long its been since a free party was held in Athens. Its pretty obvious why this party didnt do well and dont understand why any of you guys havent mentioned this yet.

Now concerning the issue about the same and same names coming over,it is very TRUE and thats well known to anyone. In my experience,BIG NAMES is what attracts the mass;most people dont know or dont care much who is organising the party (as there is no promoter/crew who attracts and gathers a big standard crowd if no foreign guests or at least greek 'famous' djs/acts are on the line up).So its a typical commercial music scene with MONEY being the main driving factor and not at all a very small (and therefore healthy) scene that people throw raves/parties for the love of it like it used to be in the past.Dont you talk about underground and spirituality on trance parties held at clubs, there is NONE(in Greece that is).Trance music parties have nothing more or less than just a club party;doesnt matter if its electro/house/techno/dnb/trance or whatever the music style is,its DANCE music made for the club and it all works the same, you can feel, see, hear this anytime anywhere;the music gone different, the people who produce this music gone different, the people who goes to parties gone different, the places that parties are held gone different, its all different. The change is inevitable and all things changes around us but at the same time change should be for the better and its way far from better in my honest opinion.I believe its upon YOU to create a better 'reality'; do your thing everyone, cause your dream wont come alive with you doing nothing!

Forgot myself on the keyboard again and got a bit offtopic so excuse my!
