Progress vs. Old school

i dont like it... there r really few trance artists that i like to listen. other trance dont speak to me...
lets start with astral projection... the "progress" hitted them on theire "aman" album till then theire style stayed prety much the same and astral sound and trance was great(mehadeva, let there be light and more)! but then with theire new album it all gone...
Hux flux first album and some released tracks on other compilations were great! awsome crazy and freakish style, i heard there gonna be a second album and i ran to buy it but then... "Progress" hitted Hux flux too... the same "progress" hitted Orion(two awsome old albums and many great compilation tracks which i really loved), cosmosis and more like those...
and i ask.......
WHY????????????????????????????

very simple: natural evolution and the changing of the individuals themselves who make the music.
its the most natural thing imo.

But why is that evolution or progress in our scene has to be related to MONEY?
People tend to forget why they started to do music, once they see the money they forget everything and change.

Well, that's true for some artists I guess. It takes a strong person to stay with a style that you like YOURSELF. But I agree with Surrender here. Progress in music is the most natural thing.

progress, ok.. evolution fine... but all those artists above evolved to less complex trance... less... i dont know... i have expected progress to be- something better than what was before but all artists above have faild many of theire fans... (not just me...) i hear a lot of people go..." 'X' new album is nice but i really think that his older was alot better"

How do u define "progress" ??
Different strokes for different Folks. Progress in ur opinion may not be remotely similar to someone else. 
Least of all the artists.

progress... i guess its when time passes things supposed to be better... develop to better than what was before...
and i see alot of people think the same as me with many of new stuff comming out latelly...

Yeah, but that kind of progress comes with years of expirience, today theres artist that realese 1 album with certain style (really good), but a year later they are doing FUll ON just for the money..

ok, so how about Infected Mushroom? i dont know if anyone got to hear the new album (my review soon here soon) but its a work of art and a perfect example of progress.

infected... well progress has really improved theire skills unlike some artists i heard...
i didnt want to mention infected cuz they r the only who i think people loved theire progression...
i didnt thou... i really loved those 3 tracks released on UFS(98, BNE) and then i started to follow them up... i bought theire first album which had a little progress from those 3 tracks (which were awsome and great) but it was a blast! and then came theire second album and again i run to buy it but this one wasnt the infected style i really loved...
and then came other infected releases and i didnt even got near it... i hear some tracks and that was awfole for me...
i really miss old school infected mushroom trance

It's very easy to sit here and bitch about why artists are becoming so money hungry and make shitty music for it. but you just don't know what it's like when you get so many people that are in love with the music you do, whether it's good or bad. and on top of that you get a nice cheque for it. so why would anyone stop that and come back to their roots or whatever it is you want them to come back to.

Infected is just one of the artists that HAVE matured, unlike some others. Insomniac is right when he says some artists just do it for the money. That's not progress. But Infected's music gets deeper and richer every time. They experiment a lot, and do it in a good way. At least, that's what I think. I found The Gathering to be great for its time, but if I listen to it now it has nowhere near the impact on me that BP Empire does for example. Progress is when styles of artists change, and get better instead of worse.

Im just gonna comment on a few things you have written down for me to read, and then put in some observations of my own - M´Kay ?

Well, you listen to what you like then - and be happy about it Sad for you that you dont like more, but hey, thats just the way it is and you cant help it...
Only thing you can do about it, is create music yourself maybe ? Or, keep searching for stuff you like, Im sure there are things out there you havent heard yet.
I have, maybe a similar view on music as you do - I mean, it sucks theres a lot of music I dont like, I wish, I liked ALL music - even pop music. Its easy, the more music you like, the more music there is for you to enjoy...
Sadly, thats not the case - For the most part, I cant stand a lot of music, it can be REALLY troublesome for me to buy clothes at stores, due to their shitty music being played.. It gets on my nerves in a big way hehehe.
But why does music progress? Because its ALIVE Be happy about that fact. You might end up with a lot of NEW styles over the years that YOU DO LIKE. Look at it this way, psytrance is what ? 10-15 years old, and just look at the diversity of the genre already!!! Imagine in 20, 30 or 50 years what will have happened !! Its beautiful!!!
The worst thing that could happen to music, is that it stops progressing - The evolution stops, then its DEAD... Imagine if psytrances evolution had stopped with Acid Trance when it all began, you would never have gotten your precious Astral Projection, MFG, Hux Flux, Logic Bomb etc etc etc.
Shit, generally speaking, we would be banging rocks against each other for creating a trance if music had never evolved in the first place.
So please understand this, do NOT complain about progression, CELEBRATE IT, it means our music, that we love so much - Lives on...
I think, we havent seen the last of "that old spirit of the music" - It will come back some day, and you will LOVE it. Im sure Have some faith in the artists, especially the new ones - that they will produce music for you, as well as the rest of us... and we will like it.
If you dont like music, dont waste your time complaining about it, use your time to find something you like instead
