the only reason i still visit the forum every once a while is becouse some of my best friends r involved in these scene
and i reply only to posts that makes me lough
and these one is one of them reading about people who calls themselvs artists and thyre stupid problems
if it wasnt so then i would never set foot here

Tomer, please remember that if u are using the label's name behind you, you have to act at least bit professionaly and remember that you are representing the label everywhere you are displaying our name. This thread is problematic for us enough for you to add gasoline to the fire, whether we are right or wrong.
Secondly, I think you should keep a level head, specialy beecause Elysium did not offend you and he replied politely and to the point.
Traveller and Elysium, I apologise for these posts, as you can see Tomer is not a part of Com.pact anymore.
Now, to the point:
Yuli just said that the artists are expecting to have the full salaries of 6-7 months of production get paid from an album - that is what I (at least) call a full time job. So I guess artists DO expect to live from the small industry, and here they are wrong.
Of course that if I could live purely from the music (as an artist, DJ or producer) I would do so gladly, but I think that only party organizers can (somewhat) live from this business - and probably not even that...
About party promoters and payment to the DJs - very good point Antti!! you bitch about not getting paid enough by label, but what happens in parties? same issue all over again (only its harder to not-pay, since the artist is present and can revert to more direct money-collecting methods).
Its true that a better contact level between the label and the artist should be, just like Yuli said. Unfortunatly, sometimes for the label managers who are DJs/preformers themselves its hard to keep in direct contact with the artists. They are travelling a lot, preforming and also need to deal with the everyday details of running a label. That is why we have A&Rs (me, Sunshy) and Artist manager (Efrat), and we have NEVER turned down a request from anybody, since this is our job in the label (ask anyone from P&P if you like). Our contact info is available from our website for everybody.

first of all, music is never simple to make, at least good full spirited and inspired music...
Second, u straight forward showed utter disrespect for every thing this scene is, for every thing it stands for and for everything and everyone it represents... including this forum. I do think it might be a ban case, and I think also I shouldn´t worry about that

if this thread didnt had enought reasons to be deleted, well.. it has now.
i realy dont have a problem with this topic, but a problem with how things are beeing said around here.
im not taking n e side here, just Bcoz i simply cant.
2 sides that know ALL the detalis and more then 2000 users who know nothing.
and ppl`s judgment by knowing half truths and not all the facts can be very wrong no matter what are the results, and can make a huge impact on both artists and labels.
its just not the tight way to deal woth this.
u dont do your dirty laundry in other`s houses... u clean it by yourself @ your own place.
to sum it up, tal said that the money is waiting for the artist and he will get it after he will provide the right papers, so i see no reason for this thread to continue.
opening a thread without n e names can be much more effective and usefull i think... there is no place here for n e kind of personal vendetas (seem like one... sorry, somenasty staff came out here cris ), pointing fingers and throuing mud @ each other.
