Ok I see there is noone in this forum agree with me.
And the people that agree don’t speak as always.
Come on guys where are you?
When did you have a wonderful moment at a party or a festival here in Greece last time?
Why don’t you speak?
Why I should be the only one who says bullshits and being bad?

Maybe there are more people who I don’t know that they don’t go anymore to the parties and festivals in Greece and they are listening music at their homes or they are going to festivals to other countries.
Come on please talk.I want to know you.I want to know how many you are.
Don’t we have the right to hear the music that we love at a club or a festival?Who is adolfos then as CRX said?

Yes, i agree that there are some totally mind-bending ambient psychedelic tracks but you can hear them in chill out subscenes when one want to relax after a hard pounding session on a trance festival's main stage!
i can't see the purpose of such a festival if it's not about relaxing...
I guess it's gonna be a hell of a quiet place there...

I can’t be silent!Listen guys I’m really bored!
The true trance state is when the music is connected with the pump of your heart. Slow and dreaming situation,warm like a voyage between the sounds.
At about 130bpm!This is trance!In this situation the sounds are becoming part of the mind.You can understand what you hear with your mind and your soul!
Nowadays the trance is fast,noisy and hysteric!With great and clear production of course!I don’t like this!
What can I say!You don’t take from words!
And the festivals are doing for us not for the neighbors!
I don’t wan’t to keep them awake to say that it was an excellent party!

years passing evolution comes music style changes we could not compare goa trance style of 1994 with psy tech style of 2005 artists trying to make their trance experiments in soundscapes we have to hear something different something new and not always the same style of playing. But !the thing is that we must not forget the roots of our tribe generation trance culture art and music!!!

Respect to your words Gopendra.
But in Canada you have some excellent psy labels and good festivals are taking place.
In Greece only progressive and full on.
And the goa trance it’s not past.
The music that we call psyambient is the old goa trance in its new form.
Believe it or not!
Clear production,high tech equipment is used but is also psychedelic as goa trance.(maybe more for me).
Of course I know that my opinion doesn’t count in here.

I can't agree or not with you halluciano_powerotti because I don't know about these gossips if they are true or not.
This which I said and I'll say again is that I started this topic to find out how many people are ready to support a true psy event.
The true psy event doesn't need promoters,only artists and organisers.And the artists should not be big names but people who know and love trance(trance is an old word like nirvana and ecstasy,look at your vocabularies).
These who know will understand what I'm saying. |

Psydubient I understand what you mean and personally I prefer the old goa trance school but in athens unefortunately nobody plays goa trance most people wants aggresive sounds "kafriles" and dark style, agreed!!! but if you listen MR.PECULLIAR you will be glad to hear pure psychedelic trance !!!and no progressive or techno style ,that guy keeps the inteligent psychedelic mantra sound alive his music is like a space trip and not like an easy bassline with no meaning.

I said I won’t answer ironic answers and that I’ll do.
See the vocabulary about the meaning trance.
And atmos the same did and said what he said.
And to know something I don't like his music but that he said was right.
It’s not bad to use phrases from others,we learn it at high school if you remember that!
And why you are writing greeklish?
Who gives you this right?
There are rules in the forums and unfortunately all we should follow them.
Finally yes the forum is plenty of psy-music propositions but not at the greek section.
You should also search for them.

First of all great respect to you Iraklis Mindphaser for your words but especially for kaiafas.
You played two dj sets at main stage and one at chill stage to fill the blanks of the program festival.
You’re in my heart even I don’t like your music a lot.
Too killer tracks for me!
Thank you for asking.Listen what is psychedelic.
Psychedelic is something that expands the mind’s awareness(vocabulary explanation).
What does it mean in my words?
It means that it gives you the opportunity to understand things better,
to make your senses better,to make the way you think better,appreciate the beautiful things of life and become a better person for yourself and the others.
That’s the things that something truly psychedelic do,even it is music or substance,or person or religion or whatever.
Hope you’ve undestand and agree.

I had to delete some offensive posts and some posts containing greek language.
Here is my answer to psydubient though little late since i am back in time cause i am in New York at the moment for vacations.
So psydubient....
The story about Kaiafas is described in another topic,why Boris never came (fault of the promoters who told me in the last moment to not bring him plus they didnt want to pay him but i managed to secure his money fortunately)and why Dado was playing his dj set on a chair (he had very very big problems with his back that lasted for many months).
For the moment i have my label and promote the music that i like and that i feel represents the psychedelic trance scene.I invest money and effort on this thing and i hope people will appreciate that sooner or later.
Now you asked me what kind of music i listen at home.I have never answered this question before in this forum not because i was afraid of something (i really dont know what could i be afraid of by stating music tastes lol) BUT because simply noone had asked me such things before.
So since you want to know my very favorite artists are Depeche Mode,Joy Division,New Order,Kraftwerk,Daft Punk and other electro sound acts.Also i love Bjork and Jamiroquai because they are innovative artists and they also use electronic sounds in most of their songs.
I also enjoy a lot of totttally electronic music from Global Underground and some trance stuff from Dutch labels like Black Hole for example.Some of my favorite artists/djs are Paul Oakenfold,Paul Van Dyk,Nick Warren and other guys like them.
I love music from the seventies and eighties and little bit of early nineties,i just love this music wave.
My music library also includes movies soundtracks,Iron Maiden cd's,Pink Floyd collection,american country music from the likes of America,pop music from Madonna and George Michael,older artists like Phill Collins and Iggy Pop,etnic music collections from around the world,Sting and The Police records,greek artists like Diafana Krina kai Katerina Kirmizi (who is my favorite greek artist),some hip hop artists and collections from early nineties,a big collection of uk bands like The Smiths and The Lighting Seeds cause i love uk sound in any form and i dont remember what else at the moment.
I will tell you what i dont like just to make things little short,well i dont like the majority of greek music (laika kai paradosiaka) i dont like RnB music and for sure i dont like very dark and twisted trance that is produced much in our days.
Everything else from jazz and classical music to pop and rock is very welcome.
Hope that was a big enough answer for you though i left out a lot of other favorite artists

I finished my meditation for xxx and had great success!
I can’t not describe it to you.

Duration:5 minutes
Description:
I sit on the throne,strange noises mixed with the music,a mysterious feeling like something moving in my body.
And finally the running water which was taking my shit and my thoughts away and the only thing I manage to say was bye bye xxx I can’t keep you inside me anymore.
Conclusions:
The best shit I’ve ever had.Thank you xxx!
After effects:
I had a shower and felt really free and light. Thank you xxx!
This was just a joke.Maybe not very good.
But the aim of my post remains serious.
Who is ready for psychedelic events in Greece?
Bye now I’ll go to a party to eat my drugs.
Again joking.I’ll go to a birthday party.The music will not be my favorite(will be progressive,don’t worry not your progrssive,the other,the progressive house!stupid music but the girls seem to like it!very strange persons the women!) but I love the guys that organizing it.
As you see there are sometimes some things that we put in a better place in our heart than music.Wish this worth.

And Detox I am very happy to hear that you are hearing all these artists and different kinds of music.
Of course most of them aren’t psychedelic but they have their own character and that’s the point.
But this which I would like from you is to help other people to understand the same and hear more original music.
Don’t ask me how.You know the way but it’s very difficult,needs money and has many dangers.
From become poor until to get in jail.
I’ll wish you good luck but really I don’t believe that you are the person who will change the scene.
About kaiafas sorry but your explanations aren’t enough.
You could just write a post and tell us not to come in kaiafas because you knew from the first time that the organizers didn’t do right their job(no tolets,no showers etc etc)
This is the psychedelic trance spirit.
You don’t care what you’ll loose if it is for the good of the whole community.
And finally why didn’t you stay to play music at kaiafas at the place of the missing artists?
Yes then I would say the best words for you.
A 12 hours dj set from your music library would be great idea.
Mixing all the kind of music that you say that you are hearing in a unique way.
yes this is psychedelic
Is it utopian?
Maybe for you not for the true psychedelic people.
Why edoardo didn’t leave?
Why Mindphaser gave 3 dj sets?
Think these things and aswer my friend if you’re psychedelic guy or not…

Psydubient psychedelia is a very broad term and everyone has his own explanation and ways of reaching there.
I never said that i am THE PERSON that will change this scene into better.I am just a guy into this scene who tries to help and support it,i am not a goa guru or messiah who will try to save psy trance in every cost (especially by becoming poor or risking going to jail),sorry but i got better things to do rather saving psy trance and helping people to discover new kinds of music.I will always be here to help in any way i can but always between limits,i am not going to jail for noone around here and i am not risking my life so that other people can have fun or even 'see the light',if you are searching for a psy trance 'Jesus' then sorry to dissapoint you but i am not the one and not wanting and willing to be one.I already sacrificed a lot in terms of time,effort and money for this scene BUT i never regretted that so far,BUT i am not going to sacrify much more as long as the situation stays as it is now.
About Kaiafas if i knew that the facilities were not there in the first place i would for sure inform the people about it.Even one night before the event the organisers assured me that everything was allright and like we aggreed,things started to change dramatically when i reached the party area on the first day of the event.
Also i am not a dj and i dont know how to play music,i leave this part to the pro's.The artists were there at Kaiafas festival the last day (Frank'e,Loic,S Range and more) but other things happened before the party stopped.
And who knows maybe Iraklis and Edoardo are more psychedelic persons than me

First of all I think that anyone can understand from your answer how the promoters and organizers think.
And my opinion is that you are one of the best that there are in our country.
Really I started like you because you admitted some things,but mostly because you’re realistic.
Of course I prefer some more dreamer-organizers but it’s true that it’s difficult to find them(because they are in jail ;-)).
My comment to your words:

is that we are the situation and we should do everything that passes from our hands to change it if we don’t like it.
And the limits…who sets the limits dear Detox?
We set the limits to ourselves nooneelse.
Finally I can’t believe that you can’t play music!!
A psychedelic gathering is not a dj contest or a house party where djs show their skills!Is something completely different!
I prefer a psychedelic person playing music than a prof dj who doesn’t know what psychedelia means.
That’s why I’m hearing what I’m hearing.
So if you had started playing back there in kaiafas I would be the first person who would dance(and maybe the only one ;-) but I don’t care about this) to express you my respect for what you’re doing at this difficult situation.
For the end,there isn't more or less psychedelic.You are or not.
Ah,yesterday night I heard your favorite artists of global underground,nick warren etc at the party that I went.Not bad not bad,but they don’t express exactly my feelings.
