I think a lot of what exists within a trance situation cannot be captured by a photograph... so its the wrong medium to try and illustrate trance.

what goes on at a trance party is all about mind, movement, sound, physics, memory, philosophy, space-time relationships, chemical reactions, communal thinking, communal movement, having a good 'time'/ loss of time or however you wanna put it... (constantly in the now?)

all things that a still image cannot really touch.

Jnaux is totally right. Unfortunately the best we get from trance is not possible to be captured by a photograph (yet!?) .

BUT our mind can connect us to these things by a good moment of nice and psy memories. And photographs are one of the best vehicle for memories.

And also there is something very magic about photos too. It is such a great psycadelic expirience to look to a picture and do not see the cornes of the paper... see how many dimentios it can have, see colors chanching...

Maybe in 40 years we will have a acid flash back and look to a photo and revive all psy moments that we are used to ( in case that we are not still partyng in 40 years...!)

I don't mind people taking photos of me but I can understand why some people might have an issue with it...           A beer in the hand is worth 2 in the fridge

Hi... I'm a photographer... not pro... but...

The issue of asking someone to take his/her photo it's a two edged knife...

If you want to take somebodys picture is because you like the image that you see... if you ask a person to take his photo that image is going to change... now the person is aware the you want to take his photo, and is not on the natural position that you saw in the first place...

By the time you've ask to take the photo, you already don't want to take it...

It's fair that someone doesn't want to be photographed...

I would love to photografe in partys... just don't have the right equipment... yet

But i'll try to take some pictures in London next month @Brixton Academy... hope they're good...

HASTA           Take it to the End!!!
