Photography makes history and will always remeber people of what we do at festivals and how we did it.
Would you mind being photographed? What if the photographer was part of the organization of the party?
Do you think that the photographer should ask before taking a portrait of someone whom he does not know?
Take into consideration that the pictures will not be published, and if they are, would you care?
If a photographer take a portait of you, would you be angry and send back bad vibes, tell him to fuck off or would you kindly ask him to email u the picture?

In general I dont like it. It isnt that bad if someone I know takes the pic and Im not doing anything I wouldnt want recorded into history hehe. Still, it pisses me off to see all these fucking flashes clicking all over the place at a party. Its a goddamned trance party not Tokyo on New Years for petessake. Its not necessary to record every moment for eternety why not just have a good time today and find another good time tomorrow instead of saving todays good time to relive tomorrow? If a camera is pointed at me, my instinct is to try to look good, which isnt what I want to be busy thinking about at a party, so it is a distraction as well.
I really dont appreciate people I dont know photographing me, esp if theyre photographing me doing something I wouldnt want to have brought up at a later date. I never said anything about it because the pratice is so common, but maybe one of these days I will.
People should use their cameras judiciously. Only photograph people you know, show them the photo after you take it in case they want it deleted, and dont EVER make that person regret that they let you take their picture. |

i dont think many people have a party photo of me... i make sure to never be where the camera is... dont like it..... its not the tlv... we come to escape that... i understand friends taking photos of each other... but people just doing it a la club style.. not my cup of tea.

i heard somewhere that every photograph taken of you steals a little bit of your soul.....
but yeah, whatever, i don't really care one way or another but for some reason my image is very rarely captured on film. incognito.... |

Photos I don't mind.
Video cameras yes.
I have a career back home and last year when I got back from a festival in Europe some people in my business feild who knew I was taking days off to go to a festival told me that they saw the festival on TV and I didn't feel comfortable at all with that cause people who are not in the scene don't understand our passion and think that we're just a bunch of drug addicts! |

Well, i plan on takin a fw hundred photos for the upcomin Hujaboy and hallucinogen. Surrender, Im gonna be lookin for you 
But , yes, this will be probably the first time i shall be doing that. And my objective is to catch the vibe , the decor..not just click, flash, bang around the place. Plus its gonna be only with a bunch of frnds..

I think a lot of what exists within a trance situation cannot be captured by a photograph... so its the wrong medium to try and illustrate trance.
what goes on at a trance party is all about mind, movement, sound, physics, memory, philosophy, space-time relationships, chemical reactions, communal thinking, communal movement, having a good 'time'/ loss of time or however you wanna put it... (constantly in the now?)
all things that a still image cannot really touch.
