Hey, this years Phoenix Fest sounds like it should be good! A couple of things...

Does anyone know the timings for the DJs...like who's going to be playing when? Many of us can't be there for the whole time (July 1st - 5th) and I'd definately like to see Shakta and Loopus in action!

Also, on the PhoenixFest website, they seem to hate Alien Project, any idea why??

And last but not least, if anyone's heading there from Seattle, I need a ride man!!!

Peace!

The PhoenixFest is drawing nearer, and their website still sucks @SS! There's no real info on who's playing when. I hope one of the organizers reads this thread and does some re-organizing on his website. Not everyone can get away from the 'real world' for 5 days at a time.....Some people have to work too you know. I want to see The Enlightened Ape and Loopus blasting the scene but GOD knows when they'll be playing (and he hasn't told me yet)!

Chitty Chitty Bong Bong!

I only hope to hear Shakta and Loopus when I'm there.....It'll be a shame to drive all the way down and find out their sets are already over and some local buggers are shading the scene.....hehe....Nevertheless, I'm THERE!

BOOM!

times...

I advise coming out Friday afternoon and staying until Monday.

as far as the psytrance stage is concerned... Shakta and Loopus will play Saturday night... (3 hours each)

this lineup looks killer! I had other plans, but this is enough for me to skip out on them.

Nice and balanced lineup with positive and life-affirming vibes, and will draw many folks and blend the scenes togther. For those who haven't heard....Shakta is funky and has a real goa style...his side project Kaya Project is top-notch ethno-ambient.

the best of the local talent too!

what can I expect fropm the location? what kind campsite is it?

what to expect from Loopus?...never heard(of) them.

see you there, with trails evaporating off your your swriling arms and legs....

Waterjuice from SF is AWESOME.

and i heard from a reliable source, the breaks headliners will be out of this world.

Loopus makes funky, dancy, tripped-out, awesome tunes. One of the most original artists in the scene, imo. Wouldn't call it 'full-on', maybe psy-funk.

just got back! Great festival, spectacular location, and a lot of really exceptional music representing many underground genres!

Excellent poetic hip-hop, super psychedeic breakbeats, nice house, soaring psytrance, and top-notch downtempo ambience simmering away... something to appeal to everyone...

highlights for me were Blackalicious (hip hop), Tipper (!!!) (breaks) ,Loopus in Fabula, Kaya Project and Waterjuice...

world-class music for sure. Nice job for the Pheoneix Crew...on organizatioin, vision and lineup...
