I tend to agree with Mr Ott . It doesn't matter how technically difficult it is or isn't. If the people at your party enjoyed your tunes then you have achieved all that was expected of you.
You could do the "Pepsi" test ....
Put a paper bag over Ott's head and a paper bag over my head and let us go head to head on the chill floor. Will people notice the difference if we both play the same music and mix exactly the same ? Despite that Ott has more techincal skills than me ?
Mind you , that pasty English suntan might be a give away ;>

i like chill out cos you don't have to be technical, djing chill out,for me,is a form of natural expression,which is what the likes of ott reflects, sometimes with very funny,unsarcastic humour,

I would dispute that I have more technical skills than anyone. People don't ask me to play because of my skillz on the equipment - they ask me because they share my taste in music.
And because I'm so damn handsome.
I have absolutely no doubt that there are 12 year olds who mix slicker than I do, but to be honest I'm way more interested in the 7 minutes of the tune in the middle than the 30 or so seconds at either end that I'm mixing in or out. Technique means nothing. Its like saying "Look how big my willy is..!".
