I have really learned to hate electro. Everyone turned on psyprog and decided that electro was the next big thing.

I actually didn't mind it at first but after listening to the same damned beats and samples for the last couple years I just couldn't pretend to be open-minded about it anymore.

Free Cloud started pretty good, a decent mix of all the electro tricks I've heard before and some more psychedelic stuff thrown into the mix. It was promising, my distaste for the style was drowned by how well the track was crafted.

Stardust kicked in and when I heard that same beat I've heard on EVERY electro record I had to skip the rest of the track. Until track 7 those electro beats haunted me, every time they kicked in I cringed.

Come track 7 and I hear something more oldschool proggy in there, I like. It was the one and only track that gave me my 'prog tinglies'.

W had some prog feel to it too, I actually enjoyed the track.

So in conclusion, if you are like me and love psy-prog sound maybe this record is not for you. For people who love the electro movement this is probably a gem! I get my electro fix from Trentemoller

In any case, great job! Do what you love and as long as you enjoy it who cares what others think

.mp3's sound incredible... can only imagine how good the .wav sounds. Any affordable, lossless downloads legally available
(i.e., not Beatport) ?

Want to bet that you won't hear a difference between 320kbps mp3s and 'pristine digital sound'?

Electro? I hear techno styles in here for sure but electro?

Not at all...

This is simply fantastic. One of the best of the year and one of my fave over the years from the excelente Yuli projects. It is warm and in the sweet spot with fresh (for psy prog) sounds and ideas. This is the kind of warm emotional morning music I am allways looking for. Hard to define as one genre and full of solid musical ideas and in the zone. Hats off Yuli. This cd is f#cking solid and I am very glad I picked it up. When I freak.. I freak loud!!

Respect!~

btw Beatport is the only place online you can download .wav quality and if you play on large sound systems you will want the full version. !! Its pricy tho at 20$ but worth the cash based on the fantastic music within.

I prefer the old style of Yuli as Blt or the first Perfect stranger tracks when it was still psy prog. The last 2 years Minimal techno came around and many artists like Yuli had to follow the trend....its their choice and i respect that but i cant pretend to like it just because everybody does...i prefer the good old Yuli...

This album just gets better and better with time.
Easy gets me moving every time I listen to it. In the car it can really be dangerous.           ---------------------------------------------

well, after many listenings, i still can't find out what all the hype is about. it's mostly very minimal music which can barely touch the heart or the brain.
i prefer the first album of perfect stranger, or a lot more - the good old BLT.           u can find "Anything U Want" using the search...

Hod, maybe put it a side a bit, and try again later. If my old memory is right, you didn't like BLT in the beginning as well

There's lotsa brains and lotsa heart here. Really. And the rhythms... they talk!           ---------------------------------------------
