People who can't HEAR trance

There are some people out there that irriitate the shit out of me. They will say that all my music is just a BEAT. just a big heavy BEAT, then they will say it all sounds the same. They will even make a Boom TSS sound over and over to mock my music. I'm just like... WTF? can't you hear the melodies?? can't you hear the atmosphere? is your freqency response 0- 310 hz???
Goa and psy are deeper than any other kind of music out there! the only thing that compares is Classical music IMHO. It's Music for spaceports and space explorers, and the soundtrack for going into a wormhole or traveling through neo Tokyo on a magnetic transport at midnight! It can also be for walking though a unexplored rain forest before sunrise......you all know what im' talking about It is just that kind of music.... thats for the kind of activites ?like observation of the universe? ... idunno i can't explain...it's inexpressible..........people just can't hear it....i guess, they just can't fathom......oh well...Beethoven knows what i'm talking about. but i'm a MTV kid compared to him :)
hm... we need a Beethoven this century to make a psytrance symphony..i bet he'd love goa and psy.

Well the main thing, it would appear, is the lack of lead vocals.. Sadly it seems very few people can extract meaning from a song unless the meaning is presented to them in the form of words.. Even more sadly, maybe, is that most of these people have no idea what the lead singer is saying and can take the words for something they are not supposed to mean.. The thing about non-lyrical music in general that I love is that there really is no mis-conceptions, what you feel from the music is really what you feel and there is no language in the way.. Not even to mention language barriers here.. I mean, I listen to alot of ethnic music with vocals, and the one thing I really love about it, is I have NO IDEA what they are saying, so I can totally appreciate the soul behind the voice without being caught up in what the words mean.. In this case, the voice just becomes an instrument.. such is the case with non-lyrical music in that it holds no biases, it is pure.. |

best sulution is to compare trance to classical music.
they both are very similar in many many ways:
Both of them have are pointed at more inteligent people.
More intelligent people (don't argue with this FACT) understand and appritiate classical music AND trance.
the MTV generation are so fucked and even if u make them listen to pink floyd (give them their lyrics) most of them will say it sux.
Azov... this argument has so been overdone. just let these narrow minded people listen to their crap and tell their grandchildren they were so "crazy" going to clubs from 1:00 till 4:00!!! they even stayed for the "after party" till 6:00 sometimes!!!
craziest shit ever!!! dancing to stupid commercial music :o)

I love trance because its somehow underground and thats a nice feeling! |

IMO it's more like a big brainwash, think about it, some of the songs in MTV are not raelly catchy or good, they're just been playing all day, so u havee to c it, sing it, learn it, and then it becomes a hit, altough it's not even catchy, so if MTV would put Trance all day, people will have no choice, and they'll have to love it, MTV is a pure example of BRAINWASH! |

I didnt bother myslf with reading all the messages in this topic, my friend who is really _tranced_ came to my place and read one of the posts that compares trance to classic music. I cant keep silent and i have to post smthng. so here is what i feel (by the way, i dont like trance music) when i hear trance, jungle, or anything you want that comes from that direction, i feel that im going down by my evolution level, i mean when i hear it i c a picture, a picture of aborigens dancing around the fire, and hell i cant do nothing with it.

I think that the main reason that I like trance (and classical music) is because I can never connect to vocal music. I just need a good melody and nice atmosphere, that's [i]my[/i] music.
Another thing, I always wanted to know if Bach and Mozart and especially Grieg (that's psy classical :-)) had a synth... |
