This would not be possible in Japan. Parties is all about advertisement. No matter how many flyers they throw away, you must keep advertising. Lately a one artist party gets no crowd at all. You have to call at least two artists have them do a live and a dj set to get the crowd to come.
This situation in Japan is getting really bad. Dont know what to do. I would like to do small parties in small places, but for some reason some artists who come to Japan, expect BIG parties, BIG money etc... I mean some artists will play for 800 dollars in one country and about 2000 dollars for japan. What is this?..... |

Clearly most of this refers to a wildly different situation from what I am used to as far as partying climate goes... BUT:

A-MEN! I cannot stress this enough... more DJs does not a better party make. LESS is MORE in this case! Don't just pick your friends; get qualified talent who have a vision, and navigate the waters of night with specific intent. For a 12 hour party, no more than 4 DJs should be necessary. Be sure these guys have played longer sets before... its also a bit awkward to hear a nice few hours which suddenly go off the deep-end as the DJ loses track of the mission 
Of course this rarely matters to your average party kid... but its nice to do it right when you go to the effort to make a party.

I just want to remind everybody that the Twins Party was held on the night of "Independence Day", and we all know the police don't bust any events that night, as some kind of unwritten law...so this is not a good example IMO.

First of all ..."kakal" or "hachevra lehaganat hateva" or "reshut shmurot hateva" won't allow such event.
I remember once ..my friend who's dad works in sucha nature company wanted to go to some party and she asked where was it and it was in some nature reserved place and she got so mad she told her dad . I mean ... as we like nature we also need to respect it , you can't do a party on "shmurat kalaniyot" ..and see 500 people stepping on protected flowers without caring ...or leave sucha trash after each party ... and thats why those nature company WON'T give premission.
anyways, I think the main problem about outdoor parties are the fact that in nature you dont have insurance . if something happens to someone in the nature you won't blame the rock or the organizer, you have no legal premission for that..
but still, there are many other non protected places that some of you know that are great party location. so find em and keep the scene kicking undergroundly =)

yeh you right, but there is so few areas in this small country that r not writen on the maps that they shmoorat teva or to be anounce or turn in the future to shmoorat teva, or that r suppose to become a national park, and places that r maybe holly to some region, or that people where died there in some silly buttle, and then u got the army that take so many area's and anounce them as training area, or that maybe you got mines ther, and so on agriculture lands, and archiological sites that noone got the power to dig at or got the money or interest to do so, and private area of the kibootzim, so the lefted area r some places that still can be close to main road, and u got the occupied tertories that noone will go party there this days, and some lend in the south that u better dont go there that time of the year cause the weather... and the kalaniot in the rest of the areas in some other time of the year, so what left? and dont forget the places that party been close at lately... now go figgure... |

ananda, you are right about it....
so "shmurat kalaniyot" its not a good place to launch a party but,
what about the desert?
this is alsow belong to "shmurat hateva" and theres a lot of places wich have nothing to ruine...
or lets take forests.... some places are fit in to such an events.
maybe, they will give us permision and if the place will be full of trush they will sue the organizers?
so the organizers will be very hard with this issue.
not once, i've been in a party when in the end of it they gave us some garbage bags and we helpd to clean up the place with lots of pleasure.
we should all respact our nature, and ofcourse our friends.
this problem can be solve. all we need is to start talking and open this issue. |
