Before two weeks police and the taxation department shutted down a Trance Alliance event at Ark Nr6 in Athens and filled the media with thousands of lies about the Trance Alliance organisation and the parties in general.
Last weekend in Thesaloniki police shuted down a Cyberlight event with Skazi.
It seems that for some reasons the psy trance scene is being attacked again in Greece!
All the big organisations of our country are afraid to have an event because police is after everyone who is trying to boost the psychedelic scene.
What is going to happen next?
Who is going to get arrested?
People take care and keep your eyes open cause something really weird and strange is going on in our country.

Really sad, maybe because there are too many drugs in Trance Parties and the lies of medias'....

This problem will continue here in Greece till the Olympic games possibly or till the elections in April. Coverment wants to show to ppl that they are cleaning Greece from drugs and terrorism to vote for them again and to the olympic comitee that is safe country for the olympics.
Possibly (rumors) here in Thessaloniki will cancel also GMs and Pan Papason party this saturday.
Hope that this shit will end soon.

I agree with MentaLab..its all politics.
Also i have to add that it is not a war against trance scene.Other music style parties have also been affected (Umatic was also screwed).
It is a way to show that tha law is been enforced so ..."we do our job well" kind of thing..
It has has happened berore(every year).
It will happen again im afraid.

yes i agree with you guys about politics...
what i want to add is my thought as to what should happen next. one option is that parties should return to their "underground" roots: absolutely no advertising, news spreading from mouth to mouth only, secret warehouses and places of party, that get revealed only a day before the party etc. but this is NOT the best to do...
the other option (and the most appropriate in my opinion) is to MAKE government, municipal authorities, police, UNDERSTAND we are normal people, listening to music and having fun without causing any harm to anyone (except for ourselves if some of us take drugs..)
but for the latter to happen, something really important but also extremely difficult thing needs to be done: party-promoters all over greece, need to get together, put aside their tactic to act only to their each personal advantage, and see that the only way "forward" is "together". if our promoters don't stop their "eye-to-eye" tactic then nothing good will ever happen.....
and one last word, to all of us party-people: our duty is to PROVE everyone else out there that we are responsible citizens, and human beings that respect each other and most of all OURSELVES. cos they all think that we got to be garbage or heroin-addicts to be in a party... and if our generation was not being informed enough and did not learn to love the music rather than the drugs, it's our responsibility to spread the correct word to the younger ones.
as for everyone else that looks at us and sees nothing more than junkies, i only have one thing to say:
LET'S PROVE THEM WRONG!!!............ |

very similar thing is happening in Brazil, specially in Rio de Janeiro, where trance parties were prohibited. too bad  |

GMS event at Thesaloniki this Saturday also canceled for obvious reasons!!!
Everybody is afraid to have a party in our country and rumours speak about no parties for until the end of the year at least.
Things are very very serious...

Lets not fool our selfs..nothing will change..
nothing has for the last 10 years..
The situation eventually will cool down sooner or later..then parties will start again..
Then people will start to get out of hand again..
The only way to continue non stop is to make CLEAN parties..folow the law by letter (like it or not)..
There have been worst times(remember Amnesia-Alimos-Battery-Acid..e.t.c..
chill out everyone..be patient
Remember + think..
at the end we give them allot of reasons to react..we have to admit . |

that's what i am saying opsis... the best solution is to TRY to make CLEAN parties as you say... but for this to happen we need to do things as well as the promoters... |

Hey Friends !
I think if u realy love the scene you should orgenize a clean party even if its *extremely* hard thing to do(hard but possible),good security, the right licences from the authuritys, offer them to put some officers inside the party, u must have a lawyer in the party. call the press, and get the fun of your life with bottle of jegermister. show them its not why they think, maybe it would help.
make a party for top 400 people that u can count on them...

Well l would like to say sth since l'm well affected and l have lost 2 gigs(sat&Mon) in Thessaloniki.
It is not just drugs that we have to clean out from parties.
Tax purposes have been bothering the authorities for a while now. They have been parties where the organisers are charging a lot at the door and do not declare even a third of it.
A lot of money are involved at some of these parties hence makes them serious business.
We always had this problem in Hellas, no matter what the business are.
And please trust me is not the olympics.
Please calculate the average salary in Hellas and the amount of festival/party tickets.....
Let's unite and be professional for once...

Pan the same prices (and even higher) exist in more commercial events with artists from labels like Global Underground lets say for example but none of this parties has been raided by the police.
Its not about taxes i think,its something deeper that i cannot think of at the moment.
Sad to hear that your events were also canceled by the way
