My mom doesnt care what i listen to , as long as i am happy....

my dad encourages my psy productions and likes to listen to psy with me every now and again, but he isnt a trance head or like raja ram, he is just open to different music ....

sometimes they tease me and say its the same over and over, but they dont mean it, they just like to tease me....

i.e my parents are wicked cool

Well I remember this one time a couple of years ago when I was listening to Alien Project - LSD
"LSD should b seen as ..." and was playing REALLY loud - it was summer and every door was open to make some breeze. My mom was sitting outsite at the balcony and ahe was listening to the music and really liked it!!!she said it was beautyful!! My dad -my parnts r divorced by the way- always was a rock fan and cant stand this music at all.the full on stuff that is , he relly dig some ambient-chill out stuff . But theyre both cool with it u know? never gave me any troubles Just rememberes that i had actually told my mother that i want to try LSD and mushrooms and she was like "yeah but promise me u'll b carefull with the setting&surroundings!!!" wicked!!! that could b one of the reasons why i never had a bad trip!LOVE YOU MOM!!!
recently i had a j with my dad and i reckon i need to get him more into this infinite music!!!!LOVE U DAD!

My dad just said: "Turn that music DOWN! Noone else in the house can listen to music when you do! Why cant you use your headphones!? I know you like to make music, and I support you, but do you have to do it ALL the time!?!" This was while I was producing a track... ;p I guess he just dont understand psytrance..

I'd love to talk with my parents about that theme, but its just plain impossible. They know that I smoke the bud, but they dont like it at all. If I told them about my relationship to mindexpanding candy... horror. I dont even want to think about it :S

I used to explain I was going camping and it was a birthday party. Hehe... Goa Gil's birthdays were my first big ventures. One day, several camping trips later my mami asks me "Are these camping trips with music for 2 days like a rave?" I'll spare you the details of that response but fast forward 5 years and I have had my beautiful mother accompany me to our weekly parties. I think we're almost ready to go on a camping trip together.

Exactly the same here. No need to tell them what they do not and will not understand.
My friends father, on the other hand, has a hippy background and accepts this sort of things...

It might be stupid topic but i'd like to know if there are any parents in the world that react differently to Psy Trance than my parents. Their reactions are mostly: "but why you hear the same song for hours" and "when will be the singing part".
And thats in good days. In the bad ones it's:
"SHUT this horrible music down" and i enjoy my music loud usually.
Are there any parents like Raja Ram?

"but why you hear the same song for hours"..
not only parents..even frends sometimes don't understand

"when will be the singing part".

My mom loves tracks by bliss and filteria.. Whenever I put on some dark, she always says that it isnt music for the soul. Hmmm.
She's also heard Raja Ram and Goa Gil talk about spirituality.. Says they're full of bull.. that their perception of spirituality is what they've experienced through drugs and there there is a huge wall between what you experience with drugs and what is real.

well my mother doesn't like it, if i put it on loud on the big stereo and if she comes home, i have to put it off immediately.. My father has better taste in music imo andhe says he likes the hypnotic rhtym, but he prefers music with singing cuz he thinks it has more emotions..

On christmas evening we actually had a listen with my uncle and aunt too, to Jaļa - Mai Mai and they kind of liked it lol

my mom is a music addicted just like me.. so we respect each others taste. She plays her music loud at her room and I play mine at my room!
She likes trance music and even some dark trance, but she is really into some ambient and psychedelic chill out tunes

my grandma shouts all the time: whatch the neighbours!!! hehehehhee

Everyone's got the opposite problem that I have. My 14-year-old rocker daughter is constantly telling me to turn my music down... luckily as it's my house, I don't have to do what she tells me AND I can turn off Kerrang every time I go in the sitting room.

However on the positive side as far as she's concerned, all her friends think she has a REALLY cool mom...
