Are there any other bands who play a similar style to Ozric?
No doubt that Ozric (& Eat Static of course...) are something of a rarity.
I wonder if there are other bands with that style.

np: Cosmosis - Synergy "Synergy"
“The Prophecy: One Will Come, Voice From The Outer World… And Bring Us Out Of Darkness.”

I'm a complete Porcupine Tree fan!!!!!

Saw them live more than 15 times!

For a psytrance lover, I recommend to start with the older stuff like Voyage 34 and Up the Downstairs.

Everything's worth checking of course!

Ozrics are a very very unique and imaginative band...Check out "Spirals in hyperspace".It's a state of the art...It's maybe among the coolest music available.

Keep it up guys...Ozrics are amazing. All albums are great. Every track is keeping its own little universe inside. It's the ultimate space-prog-psychedelic rock band of today. (I'd say of all time, but then there was Pink floyd, Gong, Ash Ra Temple and so many more, still...)

Porcupine Tree as well, I loved them, it's just that now they're onto a bit more "lyric-pop-singin" stuff. Psychedelians should probably check the first albums, particularly Voyage 34 (the Lp) and Up the Downstair. The sky moves sideways album gave me one of the biggest and vivid "peaks" i've experienced.

You might want to check Tidal Flood, they're greek and they are pretty close to the ozric sound, if not the closest of any.           Bring yourselves into the light

Yeah, "The Sky Moves Sideways" is the ultimate prog rock trip, used to listen to that very loud in my room, spaced out

I still hope they go back to ral psychedelia in the future...

hmmm I'm curious, I have some tunes from the 'In Absentia' album.
Is it like their old style? can't find the connection to psychedelia though...           To Infinity And Beyond!

nope, In Absentia is new Porcupine, more heavy-rock oriented. (and excellent in my opinion). As said, you should dig "Up The Downstairs "and "Voyage 34", you'll see the connection to psychedelia

For me "Erpland" is just the most amazing Ozric's album to date - i still play out the track Toltec Spring which still sounds fresh along side some of todays psy-chill artists....the last track Gift Of Wings is a psychedelic masterpiece.....

you're welcome!

btw, Porcupine Tree's frontman Steven Wilson has become quite popular in Israel with his pop sideproject Blackfield! (together with Aviv Gefen.......) And that's my message No 200! WooHoo!!
