Everyone should checkout the band Kaabel. You can download a lot of their music for free off their website. Kaabel.com Some awesome psychedelic space rock.

Also checkout Hidria Spacefolk, Korai Orom and Blandbladen (members of Kaabel).

Koria Orom is a lot more ethnic than Ozrics, but still great music. Good to see a lot of Ozric fans on here.

I have Erpland and Waterfall Cities and they are both amazing albums. OT really do produce some of the most beautiful, imaginative, earthy-yet-ethereal music I have ever heard, though sadly I am woefully short of their material when you consider how much they have released. Some good recommendations here though. I'm going through a bit of "thing" for them again at the moment so it's nice to be able to voice a little bit of appreciation here with fellow Ozricles. XX

Floaty - try some of the older albums such as Strangeitude and Pungent Effulgent if you like Erpland, I'm lucky enough to own all their 26 albums (or 29 or 50) and they are all great. The live albums are pretty interesting too, the Live Ethereal Cereal really gives you a great idea of what the Stone Henge Festivals were like, at times very raw and wobbly and really out there.

Yes, I'm quite interested to see what Zub Zub are like with a line up that's a bit Ozrics best 11, Tom you forgot to mention that Jumping John the flute player is now in Zub Zub too ! and they're supposed to have a more dance crowd friendly sound. interested very interested.

If you've not got a lot of Ozrics stuff and fancy a quick fix, I reccomend Eternal Wheel best of.... double cd , you can get it quite cheaply on ebay.

I've got the dubious distinction of seeing one of the Ozrics first ever gigs at the tender age of 16(Stonehenge 1984) - but despite seeing them a good few times over the years - never really got into them or Eat Static... to be honest I thought the Ozrics sounded like the dodgy bits of Yes - but I'm sure thats just me..

Always thought Sploosh was a cracking track though...

In terms of space rock - I used to be a massive Here & Now fan - brilliant live but sadly their recorded stuff was always a bit ropey...

Funny you should say that they sound like the dodgy bits of Yes, I almost know what you mean! I have a strange love affair with the Ozrics because they were the band that really got me into psychedelic music - but sometimes they can really go over the edge and sound dodgy, you know - the screaming guitars and manic synths can become too much - but they have made so much incredibly trippy music over the years that I can forgive them for sometimes sounding this way!

I bought the Zub Zub 'Malicious Code' cd recently and didn't really get into it, except the last track 'Nautilus' which is sublime, but sadly only 3 minutes long!

If you want more obscure Ozric related bands look out for The Cheapsuit Oroonies (!), a weird blend of Celtic Morrocan madness sure to make you laugh!
