There are samples that used in more then 2-3 tracks. What your opinion about that?
Example: this Hindu singing that was used by: cell- phonic peace, 1200 mics - the time machine and ott- blumenkraft (btw: who is the singer?)
I do not like it. The music is really amazing but overusing is not in my taste. It takes the special spirit of the track in some way.

This indian sample was featured on atleast 3 more tracks. It's probably from some sample CD.
Did you already forget the Talamasca - Aries/Alien Project - Groovy/Astrix - Fire thing?
There is no fucking way they didn't hear each others tunes but they used the same sample anyway.
And Talamasca was the first AFAIK. And his tune rocked.          Everyone in the world is doing something without me

It's actually kinda funny... whenever a boxoffice hit comes out, you know you gonna hear it allot...
Sometimes it feels that certain "famous" samples are used because they are from known movies and not because they fit the track...

But, one of the "worst" case of oversampling is Skazy's - Animal. Is there a track in this album that don't have a "Fight Club" sample in it...

and offcourse, did anyone said -
RED PILL / BLUE PILL???           Out Here We're Stoned....

That sample was abused! It sucked... Its an annoying sample.
Fear and Loathing got sampled to death.
I cant watch it anymore - tracks start playing in my brain throughout the whole movie...

The Indian sample is it the one called 1200 Mics - Shivas India on the Time Machine album ???

If so its from a famous lounge track called
*Karunesh - Punjab* and was featured on Om Lounge and the Buddha Bar series...           ~*** You can tell By the way i use my walk, Im a woman's man, No time to Talk***~

"The dj's took pills to stay awake and play for 7 days"

in 3 or 4 tracks
It took me 20 minutes to come up with this signature.

The Matrix has to be the most used movie for psytrance samples... But one of the most annoying is clearly that stupid Kill Bill sample: If any of you sons of bitches got anything else to say... Now's the fucking time!! I agree... The fucking time has come to ban that sample from psytrance!! Also, the movie was overhyped and sucked IMO, but that's a different story.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

(ken wilbur is good stuff)

Blockbuster movie samples are a good way to get non-psytrance people to either laugh at the cheesiness of this music or find it cool and want to hear more (and then it makes me question their taste).

I like samples and think there are intelligent ways to use them.

An artist can remove some words from a movie, and give them another meaning in a psytrack!

Also a sample can transmit messages in ways that no noise can! Samples have much more specific meaning than noises. Samples can make you think about specific issues during trance!

About overused samples, like the 51 times stronger than coffee , I think some times artists work in parallel without knowing other people are using the same sample.

I think that if you choose the sample carefully, even Smallville samples can make a extraordinary track. It's all about choosing the right words and thinking about their message...
