Outdoor parties in the UK

Hey... i'm leaving for london from south africa in a few weeks (for a year or three) and was wondering what the outdoor scene (if any) is like. Are there 'underground' parties? indoor is fun but oh-so not the same. Gonna miss the SA sun i have to say..

well i can say ur prob comming to one of the capitols of psy, every artist usually stop by here, and from 2 - 5 parties on weekends. so ull be spoiled for choice, and yes big massive clubs to various squats. |

Main outdoor season is May (ish) to Sept when there are lots of outdoors parties of the "ring a mobile no after 11pm for directions" variety. |

Your coming to the right place.There are a couple of killer parties every week,from massive club to squats.seeOne,Coronet,Rocket are some places where massive psy events take place.

I heard that there is gonna be a good outdoor gathering in August bank holiday and the land is amazing and licenced as well!!! Also don't forget to bring your swimming gear!!!

Well, I do like the parties in other countries maybe even more than in UK I must say. Had great experiences in Austria. There are sometimes actually more parties happening in Vienna than London, and Vienna is about 1/10 the size of London... And there is more space in Austria, it seems that there is too little space in UK to do a proper outdoor party. Neighbours are disturbed, causing the coppers to show up nearly everytime and freaking me out. The best club I will probably ever have visited (and fortunately played at) is in Piestany in Slovakia, an old cinema. Wow, the atmosphere there I doubt I will ever see again, such high energy. Also, I sometimes feel there's too many drugs at the UK parties. Not to say I don't like the parties in UK, I do! Just saying there are just as good parties in other countries. Oh, and in Belgium it's common for the indoor parties to go on until the afternoon, and they dance like crazy to the end! |

Welcome to London - look forward to connecting with you. I've been to some awesome events indoor. Looking forward to the festivals in Europe. The weather is not so predictable as CT, but I'm sure there's plenty else to make up for it!

Probably worth saying to anyone visiting the UK - try and get out of London a few times - theres far more to the UK than the big bad city! |
