maddan, $75 considering its 3 days is not bad at all in my opinion... and yes its the 2nd one, unfortunatelly last year i was finishing my stage at chef school so i was not able to attend.. people can tell you here for sure their experiences.

think about what you might spend if you go out on the town for a couple nights of fun. ... or a road trip.
maybe cover charge for a couple clubs, a few drinks, a cab ride or two, maybe a movie or a museum, and meals.
thats easily as much as entry into a 3 day festival such as this... now, granted you have to bring your own party favors and drinks and some food, and gas to get there... it does end up costing more.
but !
how often do you get to dance under the stars for 2 nights to some of the best trance acts and djs? plus a full chillout lineup, and a place to swim!
its a special occasion, the full moon also!

even if you do consider it to be expensive, its worth it, you will create memories and make friends that will last a lifetime.
unfortunately i couldnt make it last year

at least you dont have to drive 15 hours like we do!
see you there!

Check out
http://www.omnidancefestival.info/?about for last year stories and

As for $$ - i hear you, but this is just a share of expenses. Don't think of it as a ticket - it's your contribution to the whole experience (wouldn't be possible without your support!). Stop counting and start dancing already!

Right, Surrender, and the rest, the hotter it gets the better i get your point. It would be so shweeet to dance outside this very weekend - anybody else is feeling the heat here or it's just me being unused? There is something magical about dancing outside - i never get this flying feeling in the club.

i saw the below text on a list in yahoo groups:

does anyone know if the following will effect the festival:

Two Men Found Dead At Upstate Music Fest
May 23, 2004 2:53 pm US/Eastern
(1010 WINS) (COVENTRY, N.Y.) Two men were discovered dead at a
campground that played host to a music festival this weekend,
authorities said.

Paramedics and state police responded to a call Saturday morning at
the Echo Lake campground where they found Anthony Scanlon, 33, of
Sidney, unconscious.

While investigating Scanlon's death, authorities discovered a second
man floating in the lake. He was identified as Adam Meisner, 19, of
Ringoes, N.J.

State police released few details about how the two were found or
whether they considered the deaths suspicious.

The bodies were sent to Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton for autopsies.

The campground, about 55 miles south of Syracuse, was host to the
Gramma Joan's Spring Fling this weekend.

Hello,

We are aware of the recent events that have taken place at Echo Lake. We have spoken to the management at the resort and at this moment there are no plans to cancel the festival.

We are actively monitoring the situation.
More information will be coming your way soon.

Best regards,
Omni Dance Team

Hey everyone,

To clear up the Echo Lake situation we got on the phone with the local
authorities today. In our conversation with Janice A. O'Shea, the Town
Supervisor, she confirmed that our mass gathering permit is still valid
for June 4th-6th. We feel that we established a good connection with her
and won her support. So all and all, there is no change of plans and Omni
Dance Festival is proceeding as charted. At the moment the main task on
our hands is to purify the space and clear the vibe left by the
unfortunate events of last weekend.

We must say that we were pretty shocked at first to learn of what
happened, but soon enough realized that we have a certain connection to
the place that was such a good host to us last year. We should not
abandon, but heal, not blame, but restore, not discard, but accept and
transform. So, we are looking forward to bringing the living energy of
psychedelic trance music to Echo Lake. The festival is going to start with
a purifying ceremony conducted by all the shamans present. Come early on
Friday and join us for the ritual.

Finally, we would like to remind everyone to party responsibly, be kind to
your own body, and not to hesitate to consult our friendly medical staff
if you have any medical concerns. Also, be smart and drive safely: local
and state police may be monitoring local roads and looking for drunk
drivers. As a final point, remember that no illegal drugs and no weapons
will be allowed at the event.

Thank you for your support and see you on the dance floor!

Love and light,
Omni Dance Team
