here's what i know: nystagmus is an involuntary eye movement which usually results in some degree
of visual loss.
also an artist released on SunDance Records. i think he/they is/are from Vancouver, BC.
any other info out there?

Nystagmus is one guy, Matte, and i know him very well :)
yes, he is from vancuver...
very good artist!!! i like his music very much!
he is going to relase his album this summer on sundance records.
He has another project called Narcolepsy...experimantal downtempo, breakbeat...twisted stuff!!

well its been past summer and still no album!! This guy has a killer remix to an Artax track and 2 tracks i have only heard. I would love to hear more ! |

anyway, I may have been a bit harsh in the previous post.. I think Sundance releases some of the highest quality music in the world right now, just real hard to wait so long for the releases that are announced and then don't come out for a very very very long time, like the Talpa album, the Vibraspirit 11 comp, and now this long-awaited album from Nystagmus.
I mean, just because Twisted does it, doesn't mean you should also. After all, if Twisted started to release crappy full-on, would you do that too?

I've added the album to discogs.com but I don't know anythign about the artist. The booklet in the CD is very small (only cover and the back of it with the tracks) but the music is great. Are there any new tracks or stuff planned? |

the album came out.you can get it from Psy-harmonics website.
I have the album and its really a work of art,some very high melodies that make some tracks such as "Soulgasm" to a masterpiece.
well done Matte Gillard aka Nystagmus. I hope to see more Canadians with quality music in the scene.

@ tatsu.. dont think there will be more nystagmus releases, just heard he doesnt make trance anymore but moved on to chill (i think) .. dunno about a new project name or so though
ill push u over the edge, and will be smiling when u cant take anymore, at that point ill push a little harder till u experience true psychdelica |

This is one of the best albums i've bought this year, 'Soulgasm' is just that, orgasmic! tracks 8 and 12 are awesome too! actually, they are all great, and the psychedelic samples in between are v. funny, hehe : ) |
