Lirans flyer has been out for a month. Tsunami's came outthis past weekend...

As for Talamasca, the last time he played for tsunami it was for a little over an hour.
He was supposed to play more, but the venue shut itself down for low attendence at 3:45 am.
The party was billed to go till 8...

No more Tsunami for me. No more will I look silly for posting fake or unreliable info for tsunami.

They are too disorganized.

Salmon is right! there really is a Tsunami party that day with Alien Project Live....
What a dilmna.....
I wonder why they both chose the same night?
Hearing Ari Linker giving a live set is quite an experience. I don't know if to trust tsunami but if he is really bringing him it's something to take into consideration that night....

Examine what you wrote.

And now remember that:
Atomic Pulse never made it to the Talamasca party. (Tsunami promised to be open 11-8, delivered 11:30-3:30am) and the venue promised was the Estate (formerly the Limelight which is a church), but ended up at the new shelter (an office building with bathrooms.)

The shelter was having and anniversary party the next day so they refused to turn up the sound system. It ran at %60-%70 capacity.

Remember that Parasense never made it to the Astral Party. (Tsunami promised to be open 10-8, but delivered 11-5am)

Their website is still using the flash flyer from the Talamasca event, but that is another story...

Add to that a long list of people who got kicked out of both parties hours before closing time, and what do you get?

my friend in asheville (the devotee) is going to be assisting on the decorations for the HOMmega party, and there is a chance that kri (asheville) might be playing there as well (tbc). it is too far for me to make the trip for that particular weekend, but if i were able to make it then i would definitely choose to go to the talamasca/xerox event.           michael

I would normally agree with you but at Hommega -Xerox and Talamsca are going to be playing dj sets - NOT LIVE. That means they are going to be "pressing play" while you dance to some tracks.
At the Tsunami party, Alien Project is performing LIVE! (If he shows up) he is actually going to be playing musical instruments. If you're really into the musical aspect of trance this is a big deal! We haven't had a known live act here in ages!!!!!

that's true Psyfire but if I would be worried about a couple of things If I was going to the Tsunami party:

-what does it mean when they say the party is going on from "11 till late?" I was at a Tsunami party before, they promised to close at 8 but they all kicked us all out at 5. That's something to consider.

-will Alien Project really show up? With Tsunami's reputation I would expect to see his plane ticket and his visa scanned on their website for everyone to see before I believed it 100%

-What kind of crowd is there going to be at Arc?

-What's up with booking Tim Schuldt? The guy has been out of the trance scene for quite some time now. Tsunami could have brought some one 100 times better for the money they are spending on him.

-Who is this international suprise on the flyer? This is their first party in such a long time after a couple of failures. I have to think that if it was someone worthwile they would announce it to make sure they get as many people as possible.

Either way, it's a very diry move on Tsunami's part to book Alien Project on the same night as Xerox/Talamasca. He could have easily waited till next week or even the day before/after to have this party. This is typical New York bullshit and I would probably go to the Hommega party just to show the party organizers that I refuse to support this kind of behavior from them.

All it does it make both parties worse and it cuts into their profit margin which will make the next party harder that much harder to throw.

JEG, if you are reading this, I am very disappointed in you. I stood up for you on this forum when everyone was throwing dirt in your face. You tricked me into believing that you are throwing parties for the love of the trance scene in New York and not for money but that was obviously a big fat lie.
You could have at least brought a progressive artist like Antix or Tegma or something so people could have went to the party that suits their musical taste better.           Both teams played hard

I agree with you 100% Apocalypse! I do not trust Tsunami either, and most of the things you said are right on the money. Sadly I'm not sure that these Hommega productions are any more reliable.
Last time there was no live act by Oforia and no Logic Bomb. Most of these organizers are the same.....If you're still looking for one that that has love for trance or believes in anything except for himself i'd say you were on a useless crusade.....but that doesn't mean NY doesn't have a diversed crowd of people that love trance so i guess we shouldn't be completely pesemistic.

mmm maybe you are right. I hope not though.
I still have faith that there will be some good organizers in NY soon that will step up and cooperate with each other to make sure that parties can be as successful while still making sure that everyone involved has a good time.

It's happening in Frisco, I don't see why it can't happen in New York as well.           Both teams played hard

Right On Apocalypse Now!...

But keep in mind that your signature is kind of
encouraging the people to do half assed jobs. Some just want to me the king that's all.

It'll take some time before you have such cooperation in NYC, but if it happens....

NY is getting alot better then in the past while.. just to show the utmost example is the coop party between globaltrance and omnitribe and dreamcatcher... these 3 never got along till now and we are heading in the right direction for sure! only this out of left field Tsunami deal is spoliling the emerging new spirit... i totally did not see this coming to be honest, i knew that JEG was planning something, but i thought it was in sept. If i'll be around that weekend you can bet that i wont be found anywhere near club arc.

ps psyfire, read the letter gilles wrote on the synthetic-sadhus website regarding "live" performences by Alien Project, you might think twice...
