what happened to the posts about spelling and stuff? i thought they were quite funny...mr.anteater i am not offended by mr brandski at all, he has actually managed to make me laugh out loud which if you knew what kind of day i've had you'd be quite amazed by...anyway i really think the censorship of threads is a little bit weird on a forum affiliated to a website claiming to be relating to "psychedelic experience"...

hey tohm, sorry to remove that stuff. i thought that this was in danger of degenerating into a slanging match which would have little to do with the topic.. that's all..           >>love will tear us apart...<<

the other thing i'd just like to say, and i want to emphasise this is nothing personal against brandski, but another sociological point, cough - whatever - cough - bullshit -cough cough, how come brandski can make jokes about public school boys being gay and i'm not allowed to tease him about being a peasant? is this not reverse snobbery?

tohm, seriously that is not what i was doing at all.. bradski's post was (debateably i accept) related to your post about smack.. and (again debateably ) funny.. but crucially it relates to the topic at least vaguely. when you and he started to (from my perspective, which turns out to have been incorrect) have a go at each other, i thought i would remove those posts and we could continue with the thread topic _without_ further verbal violence.

i accept that i didn't realise that you had been amused by his comments (as, to be honest, i was).. but if you had made your amusement clearer then i might have left the stuff.. i just did not want a fight that's all..

and.. for what it is worth.. i think this is not a lame topic for discussion, becuase (especially down here in the south) it is clear that there are huge numbers of ex public school people in the trance scene. hence if people want to discuss that, they are more than welcome to

hope this makes things clear i honestly don't want to censor stuff or anything like that.. but i also don't want slanging matches replacing debate

cheers

Is it because of public schools that spanking is so popular in england...?

They don't call it "Tarquin Techno" for nothing you know...

Back in the early 90's, when lots of white, middle class, prog-rock loving teenage boys were hearing house music for the first time and really not getting it, some bright spark hit upon the idea of combining Pink Floyd and Jean Michele Jarre with Jam and Spoon [cranked up to 150 bpm] and the magic was done.

Dance music for people that don't like "dance music" but hate the feelings of social inadequacy they get when playing "Wish You Were Here" again during the cheese course at dinner parties.

As for public schoolboys being better educated than us comprehensive school oiks - let go of that forelock and stop bowing and scraping comrades - I doubt the Flying Rhino boys have a "CSE grade III" in metalwork between them.

Boom shankar old bean.

Ott is a Marqis. The Marquis of Ottley Park.
(The Ott calling the Kettle black...eh....eh...)

If you don't believe me look in Debrett's Peerage.

What d'you mean you don't have a copy? How d'you look up people who want to join your club?

I've always wondered - given the quite well to do background of many of those involved - why psy trance has such a weird attitude to money?
