What scene?
The psy-trance scene in Norway is not existing...
you won't fint the records in the records stores (apart from AP and Yahel if you're lucky), and people in general don't like psy-trance, goa etc. So I have to travell far if I want to experience a psy-trance gig...
I don't even know about anyone in Norway who makes psy-trance. My only wish is that more people here in Norway discovers the fantastic world of psy-trance! |

Here in Örebro, Sweden the scene is as good as dead. Authorities has been really hard over the last few years, busting just about every party and even threatening promotors to bust their event before its even happend. Not so strange though, as the majority of the people that goes to parties here doesn't have a clue on what its all about, ie. showing up to the parties full of amphetamines and/or opiates. And they are really young, too. Yup, time to leave this place...

Welcome to the forum ozric, i myself live in malmoe and we are the complete opposite of u guys musically but we have the same problem here maybe we should switch?

Depressing to hear that the Norwegian scene is dead, but I haven`t heard anything about parties there so I wasen`t surpriced. About Örebro though... Örebro has potentials to make good parties, but I think what Ozric wrote, that problem has been on the Malmö-scene aswell, with very young people just going to the parties to experience what L*D can do to them... I`m moving to Israel guys, I`m tired of this shit, he he...

There are people who makes psytrance in Stavanger (west coast) with the most known being Trold, they are soon releasing a track on a compilation (Trold - ESP). There are other people who are making music but nothing released .... There are people who likes this kind of msuic but we aint many
There are some parties, most in Oslo , but smaller more underground parties do happend from time to time

Actually i think the psychedelic scene here in the middle of sweden is quite alive. Unfortunately there are not that many underground parties but i think the parties at clubs are a good substitute during the winter season. As an example: Last friday i played at a wonderful club in Uppsala. The deco, sound, people were all AMAZINGLY good. (Pics: http://www.mandarin.nu/event_pics.asp?ev_id=673)
I'm really looking forward to the summer. I believe we will have a lot of nice forest parties. At midsummer (20-21 of june) you could go to 'Mossmys2' in the west parts of sweden. Flyer: http://www.biosense.nu/flyer.html
Finally i would like to add that i've been playing on about 60-70 psy-parties/clubs (and visiting about 10-15 others) in the past two years in sweden and i've still NEVER been to a party that has been closed down by the police. But i guess that's 100% luck |
