Is it just me or is the paty scene totally dead in Scandinavia? (Just kiddin`)... But it doesen`t seem that anyone has anything to say about it, not that I`m beter myself... Something good has had to happen!? Atleast maybe this opens up for a debate.
Cheers friends.           Back on track

For me this time of year is just plain boring, no intresting parties to go to, just the same old boring club with non regular parties here and there. When the summer comes im looking forward to the ones in malmoe/ribban in the gayforest haha i love that name... we had a great time there last summer mate... But as said all the rules and applications u have to fill in which only will be non approved makes all the arrangements for a legal party kinnda useless and of course if u throw a underground party the cops will arrive and pay u a little visit But the little private ones are always good but u wont see any of youre favourite acts playing live at a party for 100 people we need to start protesting for our rights to dance, i mean the trance = drugs superstition is still in the mind of swedish "regular" people when they hear the word RAVE which is my opinion has been dead for several years... Swedish people are closed for new things, narrow minded politicians (except gudrun schyman who attended at a docklands party) are fighting the little partyorganizers... we have no choice nowadays... its time to pick up the fight!

I fully agree with your point of view... Personally I have got the sad confirmation that you could go to court for having a party... 6-8 people working their asses off for a party, and then I had to go to court, that was the main thing why I don`t make any parties no more.
And ofcourse the parties at ribban used to be good, I hope it will be this summer to. Maybe we should try to pick up the fight as you said. Sadly, there is still too many drugaddicts out there, and THEY are the problem when it comes to debating trance parties, not the music. But maybe it could work out anyway. It`s just sad that people doesen`t see that the society is against the drugs, not the music.

Cheers dude.           Back on track

u want get a tip of how it went here in Israel ?? so about 5 years ago goverments started this fight against the raves, alot of djs/org was arrested and shit like that. then some of the djs came to mainstream/big/commerzial club organizators and told them trance is so modern music, its so kool and stuff like that. trance came in to the reguelar life of everybody who belong our generation. goverments seems calm down alot sice then.
the problem now we pary that trance will get smaller, its too much man, its too much when its comes to be so big.
should we all move to Holland and finaly start there serious scene ?? :):):)
i wish i was @ ACDC once, two or more if its possible..

Yes, I can see that... The government had a raid here in Sweden some years ago, but it only turned out that party people got more underground... It is only when you have parties at clubs that it is accepted by the law. And it is hard to look for new venues, get permission, and start a party...At least here in the south of Sweden. It`s either underground or no party, although everybody nows where the party is in the end.           Back on track

In Denmark we have had maybe 50 live (non danes) shows from all kinds of trance artists, maybe even more so i dont agree, at all, actully if you look on the scene in copenhagen it is just getting bigger and bigger.           "Love is a way of life"

I have to agree with The Green Channel, that we have a lot of parties in Denmark - but in my opinion it's waaay to centered on Copenhagen where there's maybe 2-4 parties each week.

Not that it's a bad thing though ... we just need some more parties in the rest of the country

Sorry for us here in Sweden then... All parties here has to be underground or else the police come nocking on the door... You have to take all peoples personalnumbers in case the cops come, and show them that it is a private party with only invited people.

The recordshops here in Malmö are also on the edge of closing... =(

It seems that we can´t even rent a place to have the party because if we do that and the police gets hold of that information they visit the owner of the place and talk to him/her and they soon enough break the kontrakt in two.... It´s to bad..

I hope the future will be more kind to us.

But when we have this small underground parties in the woods it often goes good without any disturbance from the cops.

The only problem with the outdoor parties is that you have trouble with the tickets... People sneak in from all around so you can´t rent a big name DJ or act to play there because you will be ruined... =(

So it usually tends to be a couple of DJ´s that play for free and then we have a little moneycollection and it goes equal. We don´t loose any money, and we don´t gain any money for most of the time.

You guys in Denmark and Finland have a good scene it seems! But how is it in Norge? =)

Thats all from me. Take care! //Patrik

A.Rosengren, my answer
Record - shops are closing because people download and download, and never by cd's, and i said that scene is growing i didn't say why it was growing, and if you ask me a lot of the people who come now a'days are in there only for the drugs. Thats the cold truth. But every 10 people who come to a party for the drugs 3 maybe 4, get hooked on trance. But most of them dont know shit about trance they just know who ticon or Halodium is, and they will never even consider buying a cd or a record. But drugs they will invest vast sumes of money on. And between me and you Anders there is NOTHING we can do about it.
Thats life. But the scene is growing if you look on the number of parties each week... Thats fact.

The Green Channel... I know you have alot of parties in Copenhagen, and they are very good. I`ve been to several and played at a few... Too bad that it`s expensive to go to parties every weekend, because here is happening shit...
No big venues around Malmö, and as Patrik Vision said, you have to keep it underground... Or else =0(
Big creds though to your nice parties, particularly to the upcoming Kox Box party the 17:th... Can`t wait.

Cheers.
