EDM history lesson for you all.
Anybody remember the early 90's what it was just acid house , techno and hardcore
what happend to hardcore, it split with in-fighting with one camp getting lighter, and happier, the other pushing the envelop harder and darker to the point where parties became mosh pits and dj's threw buckets of chicken blood on dancers.
Eventually both sides became just obscene to the point where hardcore was the 4 letter word of the edm world....
Now look at psy trance today.... hmmm anyone notice anything similar? (im sure there are dark parties in some coners of the world that take it as far as the legenedary Ron D Core bloodbaths)
those that dont learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them
On a not-so- side note. Nice mix Chris, mostly all tracks id play myself. Though i do think the title and statement is like poking a stick at a sleeping bear

yes the different and diversity made the colors, good thing. no matter if it's cheesy melody or mental psychedelic. there are some people can't look back to some mickey mouse time as seven years ago or more just like me. i personally haven't plan to back to 80's yet and perhaps will never.
fullpsyko could be a name for i like to hear this time.

egah... some of you people are way too sensitive it seems...
i fail to see the controversy of calling an album a "non-dark" mix and than clarifying that he "likes the dark stuff as well" yet still its a problem for folks?
whatever...
I like it all...
My only wish would be that in North Carolina I could regularly go to a show in which the music goes from progressive trance>progressive psy>melodic psytrance>fullon>dark>neuro>and back into the light on a regular basis... I love variety.
Oh and Kri, I love the mix, keep it up... |

Either way I think it is just a sad example of the douchebaggery running rampant in this scene... The politics of psytrance are almost idiotic enough to overshadow the sheer brilliance in SOME of the art that comes out of it. |
