well, this is the coolest move by any synth company for a long time. the ms-20 has such a wicked sound. and the price is absolutely insane! "no one ever sweats on a plug-in" -moby

this synth is first one i used but i m really not all familar with the sound.. will have to check if i acutally enjoy it.
ms 20 was a budget analog and for lot of people it was not in same league as the expensive stuff from moog ,arp ,roland ect ... but it s so well known that it probably sound good ...
great move from korg would be nice roland follow with tr 808/909 and more

btw i think they will get very close to the original sound.. i was listening some demo of their monotribe compared to the ms20 and it can sound very close already.

i was listening some sample of the original ms 20 .. sounded great ! it suprised me ,it seems with the plugin they got the overall caractere really not far from the original but it probably fall short once resonance is turn up, or fast modulation is used .. but impressing.

lol the osc sound at the begining wtf sound almost crap,dunno if it s cause it s a dco or it s me that have tired ears and youtube ..
overall it seems to sound good.. but on that demo it seems to have totally lost analog vintage caractere from the oringinal ms20 demo i heard.. sound so modern; but it s maybe the demo that is not great, kinda suck..
filter seems to sound good .. it s porbably me ,need to check with fresh ears, cause i even find the noise to sound very modern/bad ,...

seems like it would be great for a fx/ blip /weird noise machine but the raw sound on that demo let me down totally.
i find it suprising, it s porbably the demo that really don t make it shine i found it to sound great with nice vintage caractere on some other demos

Because he plays very high notes, C5 i think, and the decoders on youtube sux at that high freqs.

yeah that demo really don t make justice to the ms 20 i hope.
i was reading the discussion on muff and some say ms20 was a cheap synth that sound cheap..
this demo litterally made me think to this.. but even if it would be the case the semi modularity make it good for weird noise,fx,drums and probably lot of leads..

here a demo of the old one, there is some nice sound with analog vintage caractere that i like, the synth can sound very modern too.. look like it s really a chamelon a bit similar to the Xs for this.. like it can have many different caractere from smooth liquid to harsh and agressive
