I hope that since it has a USB >> MIDI interface that it can be used to control and patch the iMS-20 iPad app (the MS-20 controller from the Legacy Collection can do this) and also allow the app to work as a sequencer for the device. Hell, it would be awesome if it had digital routing to detect which patch points were used so that at least voice patches from the iMS-20 app could be easily swapped onto the hardware. I'm dreaming I know, but this sort of feature set could be possible. Technology has come quite a ways since the original MS-20.           Analog/Digital Synth Modules www.toppobrillo.com

Basically I want to patch the iPad app during work commutes and be able to transfer it to the hardware when I get home.

That's not too much to ask for.           Analog/Digital Synth Modules www.toppobrillo.com

Sounds wicked!
But do you really want to noodle around with cables all the time?

and doesn't the cables being smaller act as a potential impediment if you wanted to use other modular synths with it that have the 1/4 jacks?            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Yes, it's a liberating approach to using synths. It can be quite fun getting out of the box sometimes and using a system that lacks presets forces a different mind set when dialing in your sound.

once you go eurorack you never go back

but seriously it has an huge effect on the way i programe my sounds
even watching the patch evolve with an oscilloscope greatly increases your knowledge
and understanding

also you dont waste hours preset surfing, i need a bass ok bass patch ,wiggle, record, chop and into maschine , bass done!

next!

every time you fire it up you start of from basically where you left it,just ,like school where you pick up from where you left off
and i now have a phone where i keep my presets.lol even my default patch

liberating is just the start, its had an effect on the way i tweek my other stuff as well

i wont consider buying another fixed architecture synth again unless its something really special or another couple of slim phatties

my 2c......if you know anyone with a modular have a crack. it changed my life and studio
AGAIN!
