picking up today. I fee like a kid on xmas!

if anyone has any questions about the unit, leave them here and I will get to them tonight hopefully.

I have a game plan of different patches to try out and some issues to test out - for instance I will be checking on the now infamous noise issues.

Trying to figure out a way where I can do all the experimenting I want while also recording my first session for shits and giggles.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

I'm probably the worst person to ask because this is my first piece of gear - I have nothing to compare it to.

I think it sounds great. filters scream in all these tasty surprising ways, the build quality feels very solid and sturdy - the knobs feel GREAT

The external signal processor is so quirky and weird and fun - I was having my 9 year old just babble into a mic while I fucked around with shit and we were both laughing hysterically!

That being said, it is a bit noisy on the default patch if you drop the VCO mixers all the way down. however, in certain patches that utilize the cables the noise is gone completely.....something to investigate.

that and a million other things. ok, back to patching!

put in a good 5 hours last night. woke up this morning, got out of bed and was instantly keen on getting down to the studio. have a show tonight to run but fuck if I don't just want to sit in my studio all day.

Feeling so inspired and smiling super big

if you were on the fence about this unit, get it!!!!            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

a sample of what I've been up to

1 of around 10 clips of that length that I recorded. just messing around, don't expect any coherence.

hmmh, do you have soundcloud or the likes?

I do have a soundcloud but its for my tracks.

I was planning on using youlisten.com to upload samples but instead I'm just going to upload youtube videos and kill 2 birds with one stone.

That's the first post, includes youtube link + links to pictures for patch recreation

here's my second one:

..would the Novation Bass Station ll be a safer(better) option at this point?

I mean I owned the new Moogs and didn't find the raw power I was looking for, so I thought MS20mini, but after I read all the talk about the noise ,...should I be thinking Bass Station??

Thanks!
