helen- i have to agree with most people here, but look seizing the opportunity to expose people to the music through download sites is inevitable. don't look at it as the death of cd, though- still many people want to hold that 'tangible' in their hands. i hate mp3s for instance and feel absolutely no draw towards i-pods. just realize that some people don't care so much about having a finished product because as soon as they get their hands on the cd they will compress the files into mp3 format (and lose the cd on a shelf) or worst go around pirating tracks. you need to feed these craving people what they want as well, it's not just about how it happens - your birth will go smoothly as always and everybody will be happy. also, there are so many tracks by all artists that would never see the light of day and some of us do want to get our hands on those whether they make the cut or not- it's still music. |

that's why we have 85% crap out there.
I want quality over quantity, give me a nice finished product. I fear that this new systems actually will kill quality music.
Exactely as it was with mp3.com everybody could release and you got 95% total crap, and you just wasted your time going there.
