Well if Ploink know it all then let him speak here and tell us who he is and what his connection to the 91-94 danish scene is/was. No matter what you say I still was a part of the scene from 91 in Copenhagen and know most of the people from that time as it was not a big scene at the time and still isn't

i was hanging out in copenhagen and lived on christiania at the time
made parties with HALLU
so yeah sure maybe your crowd didnt call it the same
the ferry you talk about is kronborg?
and it was called psychedelic in my crowd at least before that dino psaras party
but hey whatever peels your banana

Funny as I played at one of the Hallu parties and none of the people I was associated with called it psychedelic before 1997. The Hallu party with Dj Hell (The two day one) had no psychedelic reference. It was called Trance and Techno
I also have the same debate on my Facebook at the moment (where no one call other people morons) and so far 99% say the same as I do
But yeah maybe you called it psy at Christiania. But the rest of Copenhagen (incl. the Djs who was the major players at the time - most around Street Dance) called it Trance/Techno and Goa from 1994
So we must know each other then

and yes i remember the hallu party where you played
also the 2 day one with dj hell where he fixed up the turntables so he could pitch them even faster
we dont know each other personally but we do have mutual friends like karsten and brian for instance and probably a load of others

psychedlic is used since the 70s , so i think colin could be right saying it was called first psychelic trance and maybe at the same time as it was called goa trance.. but it was not used as a sub genre distinction

Wow, that discussion in the few last posts about goa/psychedelic is more kindergarden then 100 %.

Plonik mate. Ask your friends from those days and I guarantee none of them called the music psychedelic trance. Not one Hallu party had that reference around 1991-1994. Ask Carsten, Brian, Yenz etc.
