Diva kills my i5 quad-2.6ghz in no time too. Ive only got 4gb RAM, and I think I had full display settings and maybe firefox active tho. But the SOUND!
Am I the only one who doesn't really like Tone2 synths? They all have the same metallic overtone that for some reason gets under my skin.
So MaxSynths made a SEM emulation, pretty good but lacking the sweet Oberheim 4 mode filter. Full ADSR but Im not sure that makes up for it.

You might be wondering why I mention Latte and my disappointment with it. Well theres a reason.
The best damn Oberheim software emulation in existence:

Painstaking reproduction of the 2-Voice, including the sequencers, and the multimode filters
Protip: if using with Ableton and the audio engine isnt working, save-quit-reopen and it should be good . |

yeah i found the best way to work is to have few good vsts plus my 2 hardware synths that i already have.
when i was starting making music i was looking for new vsts all the time and i didnt give much time to write music...
2 years now i am satisfied with what i have and how i work with and the best thing is that i know my gear very well...
i have only free time now to explore new analog gear or omnisphere when i have it. i dont close the door to something new but i want focus more to write music right now.
