"hummm...sometimes the pauses is what makes it being so powerfull when it finally comes in in my opinion....i like breaks in the dance floor quite a lot, is when ppl look more to each other and see the world around them, lol"
Yeah! Always so fun to look at people and smile to all the good people @ dancefloor, such a good feeling!!!!
And then its Full Power again, aaaaargh!!!

I don't think a DJ should put a limit on his mixing. Mixing is all about you and feeling the crowd's energy. At times, you need to wind it down. Other times you need to pick it up and turn it into utter chaos. Not being predictable sometimes and other times being that way are key. |

Thanx for replying,guys & dolls!!
My experience is that you can't have pauses every 2 minutes,people just stop to dance. Or just don't start to dance.
After one hour everybody sits in the chill-out area.
But i agree,that so now and then a breathing pause is recommended.
I'm afraid,that i'm more or less the #3-dj,with all respect for the artists.
On parties,one should hear different things,than you can buy on cd.
And of course an experienced dj "feels" on what the dancing-crowd goes wild.
