Music is a form of art, they are not two diferent things....

Drugs make us feel things with more intensity, and sometimes can make us feel and think things we wouldn't feel otherwise...In a way i guess you can say they can help on creativity...but its not a must!!!Definetelly not! Not all artists are on drugs!

You can be very creative completelly without drugs you just need to be on the right state of mind

You know very well it wasn't deleted because it had the word LSD, everyone was telling their LSD trip.

First of all we can't know what someone did when he/she produce an art . Then we can't connect art to drugs because there is no connection . If some of you see , try it at home without leading masses with you for example like Curt Cobian did , silent and awesome .

On 1889, Friedrich Nietzsche wrote:
For art to exist, for any sort of aesthetic activity or perception to exist, a certain physiological precondition is indispensable: intoxication.

In this case, intoxication is similar to Baudelaire's "l'ivresse", a kind of drunkness not necessarely from alcohol, that feeds the soul, and fights le spleen.

Plain thinking is almost the perfect oppositor of creativity.

As he says?: "De vin, de poésie, ou de vertu à votre guise, mais enivrez-vous!"

for Baudelaire's poem on this subject:

What a joke!

I am sorry, but you better get some more information on what you are talking about.

One of the olderst known paintings is a "mushroom god".
If you look at paintings of indegenous people of the amazon: full ayahuasca paintings.
Alex Grey, undoubtly one of the greatest psychedelic artist: all derived from LSD trips.
Most of the great english poetry is written on opium.

If you need more examples, I will look up for you, when I got the time and patience.

Yes drugs were in accient cultures also , not massive usage but still . Native Americans use peyote(which is one of psychoactive drugs along with LSD) for ages . Many artists done their art under drug influence but it doesn't mean they couldn't without .
