i prefer to pay for my music on vinyl first then cd second. not as much trance available on hardcopy these days and since virtual music is so free i make it up to the artists i appreciate through ticket sales at the events. just do not see wasting money on virtual pleasures unless its a film i am streaming.

hi, i would like to add something personal to this topic; as a consumer, with bandcamp the problem is, since i cancelled my credit card, i cant buy any music online, its difficult to keep up with credit cards or online shopping cards. Now i just prefer to listen to tracks online or listen to Dj sets without buying it, or free downloads n listen to it, and if i like some Artist music, i plan to listen to him/her live , maybe plan with few other friends who like to listen to same artist n organize gig or travel to where he/she is playing. then i want to buy CD from the artist personally, i think that would b something worth paying, n all money will go to artist directly.

The whole credit card thing is exactly the reason why the present model will not last for very long. Though I'm not a 100% sure but I do think you can link Paypal directly to your bank account.
But at the end a model without a major banking system like Paypal in the middle is what will work best.
