Ive got a Dark Energy on my wish list now
Its probably been mentioned but Doepfer's A100 system has rackmount option, if you want to go full-monty and build a behemoth modular. If I can ever afford it I plan on putting one together. I had teh idea that an A100 and a Buchla modular system, side by side, would be epic. Buchla's modules seem to be quite a bit more experimental than Doepfer's, combining the 2 into one megamodular would melt my face off on sight .

You'll run into two issues integrating Doepfer and a Buchla. The volts and the cables. Doepfer trigger/gate voltage is 0-5V, where the Buchla is 0-15V. Then the cables, the doepfer patch cables are 1/8" and the Buchla uses banana cables.

yeah i figured the buchla/doepfer idea wasnt really realistic but it was a neat fantasy
And I just came from both those companys' sites, and I agree with PoM, thats not always the best idea when one cant/shouldnt afford the stuff.....
More for the Must-Buy Music Gear List....

Serge is brilliant!
Anyhow, got a friend's SH-101 in my studio for the next 6 months.
Gonna sample the shit out of it!
One thing I have to say though, the freeware TAL-Bassline that I also use is a pretty good emulation of it, considering its free...
