I am thinking about getting an analog synth without keyboard (not very ancient one, max. 10 years old), which is capable of being mounted in the rackmount.

Any ideas?

The budget depends 500 - 1000 euros would be ok i guess.

thx

PS: I'm talking about analog, not VA.

You should be able to buy 6Us worth of basic Doepfer and/or Analog Systems modules.

Peace out.

you could check for a slim phatty second hand and still have money to buy something else, i have heard the phaty on a psytrance tune and man, the thing sound great, the filter and overdrive are really good.

+1 on Pom's suggestion. You can't go wrong with a Moog synth in your studio.

i sold my moog voyager kb. it was like a ferrari and i'm more a vw type of guy. so if i'd buy a new synth i'd go for the doepfer dark energy. it's small and the sound is funtastic it's not rack mountable but it's dimensions are only 18,5 x 14,5 x 6,5cm and you get a new one for under 400€!           "no one ever sweats on a plug-in" -moby

+1 on anything from Doepfer. Its not a Moog, but best bang for the buck, analog modular.

Peace out.

the DE is a 1 volt per octave format
and is compatible with the doepfer a-100 system
