well its been quite a while since i heard a goa track that i can call an anthem, but filteria has managed to create one in my eyes, this is an in your face answer to the question about where did the melodies go

i've first heard it at sun festival and it was just overwhelming, such crazy crazy energies allover the dancefloor - and when the melody kicked in - well there are very few moments like this during a festival

a couple of weeks ago i got a reinforcement of this notion in a party here in israel where the crowd simply flew allover - it was to put on a stamp on the party.. delivered!

although his live version is much better, enojoy

gotta check his new album now

I've always found his music too intense. It's very much dancefloor orientated, at least the first two albums. His third album was perfect for both dancefloor & home listening.

I'm not gonna listen to this as I'm waiting for the other album to come out next month so I can order all 3 of their latest CDs & save on postage.

They're a great label. IMHO the only of the "neo Goa/Psy" I find is 100% value.           Cuntus Maximus.

I saw Filteria this summer and it was a huge wall of sound synthesis...very intense even if sometimes i missed a bit more drive coming from the k&b.

It sounds huge & I like but also I hear lots of influences, reaaaly lot.. I have other known names in head for some motives in this track
Khetzal IMO sounds really purely own and goaish original and somehow not too much influenced IMO.This would be my anthem, personaly dunno of any more psychedelic goa tune since the 90s. It's like a cosmic storm

Never liked Filteria Think it's too much a copy of his inspiration Etnica/Pledians and way over the top = trying too hard. I still would love to see new producers do their own thing instead of copying the old guys.

Thanx guys. glad you liked it.

LFO room: did you actually listen to the track or do you base your comment on my old stuff? I have a hard time hearing anything on this track being inspired by E/P..

Yes I listened. Not my cup of tea. I think you try too hard to sound like the old days and it is here I think you and other so-called goa-artist who entered the scene late (compared to the 90's) copy too much instead of going a new way finding your own sound. Too many repetitions of what has been (leads and sounds). But that's just my opinion ofc

Sorry just a matter of taste. Nothing personal. And remember artists should be open to critique too. Not just praise

The riff at 4:07 reminds me a lot of Liquid Troll.
Not that I am pointing any fingers as I rip the shit out of old riffs I love.

To add to the general topic, I am not feeling the neo Goa style, too many leads and especially high note leads that put me off big time. The sound design is not interesting at all.

Having said that, I would much rather listen to this stuff at a party than dark, prog, full on. At least there is some good music in some tracks. Shame they lack drive with all them leads so loud in the mix and for me, are not psychedelic as there are no quirky twisted sounds in there, just a wall of leads and melodies.

ellon - my definition for an anthem is having some melody or some unique bit that anyone listening to it can recognize and hum to himself...neither of your posts have these elements imo i dont like too much of the "neo goa" productions for the reasons nectarios mentioned - altho for me filteria is different...

lfo - do you honestly hear ANY pleiadians in dog days bliss? obviously filterias first tracks were some sort of a continuation of pleaidians, but i dont hear it here...

I did not write anything about Pledians regarding his new music. That comment was about his older music. I also answered him back about his new music and wrote my honest opinion. Nothing else
