Rapid Evolution isn't very good. I just ran it through a bunc of my psy tracks, all of which are 145 or higher BPM and it listed some as being below 100BPM.

Lame evolution IMHO.

And they were full on, old school goa and dark psy. A huge mix of the three styles over 400 tracks.

Pretty disappointed after all the hype!           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

Increase the BPM detection time.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

RE2 isn't great for BPM detection. Use it for key detection, write to tags, and detect BPMs with other software (i.e. Traktor).

Hey,
I tried out Rapid Evolution yesterday, but where on earth does this thing save the key?
It's not in the key field of the ID3-tag, but where else could it be?

Go into the options and set where you would like it to write the tag to. I forget which option but it is certainly in there somewhere.

Ah thanks.
You have to go to Options -> Tags and then you can choose in the first group of checkboxes where to write the key info

Well, I've told it to write the key into the comment-tag, but still nothing's happening :/

you have to slect tracks and then right click and slect "write tags"           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."
