Hey -

Does anyone know what this DJ is up to these days? Does he still play psy trance. This is the first DJ I ever heard in Japan. I wish I could see him again someday.

yes this guy is a resident dj for vision quest, one of the leading psy-organiazations in japan. I don`t know what he spins these days but i have a image of the dark techno style. also i think he has an album coming out with his latest production , so u may want to check that out.

I dont see anybody from visionquest come to this forum anymore! Morgana or somebody of visionquest please reply to my emails....

Maybe Vision Quest is "too big" for Isratrance now. . Unfortunate that they don't reply. Very sad .

When I used to see Mitsumoto, he was in Flowers spinning the most beautiful Psychedelic music. I hope he did not travel to the darkside of Techno . We already lost Tsuyoshi to that crazy music, but why Mitsumoto? To each his own. Best of luck to him

they are not "too big", they just need more time now since they started the label. many good CDs will come out in the future from the vision group.

Why do they have email, if they don't respond, plus this site is a great way to promote yourself?
Neuromotor, Damage, Psysex (Mr Hanky), etc. still come on this site and interact with their fellow trancers.
I just spoke to Neuromotor when he was in LA and he is very busy, but he still has time to interact with us trancers to let us know how much we mean to him. He does that on his own. I'd bet he responds to his emails too. I think it's because maybe they don't promote trance for the same reasons I listen to it. They have alterior motives. I'd bet if an artist emailed them, they'd respond.
Also, I have talked to numerous Japanese guys that live here in LA who are upset when they have to go back to Japan, because they say that eveything is not about the good vibes anymore. Anyone who thinks differently?

wow it is so sad to hear someone thinks the trance scene is "almost dead". I say to that, you are going to the wrong parties my friend! Yes the scene is so big in Japan that of course you will find some bad parties. But you will also find some great ones! If the parties you have been going to are not giving you that energy you seek, then try something new. Change is always a good thing, and I bet if you look for some new organizations throwing parties you will surely find it. One that I recommend- Daze Maze. Kick and company threw one of the greatest outdoor parties I have been to in a long time. The dancefloor was so insane, and EVERY SINGLE person there carried the most positive vibe. About 300 people went, and I felt like a part of a very special family there. If I am not mistaken, this might be exactly what your looking for. Private message me anytime, I would love to rescue any disenchanted trancers that are feeling stuck in a dark hole, and bring them some Light!!!

Now that is the trance I fell in love with in Japan. Not these "Let's make as much money as we can type" parties. Before it was all about the vibe. It's good to know that there is still "Pure" trance in Japan.

hello uncle bob
I am sorry to hear that you are so dissillusioned by the trance scene in Japan and by the VQ team in generall. I am sorry the days have changed since flower and Geoid, i too miss those days but the bigining is allways the sweetest and we all love to feel part of the private team of those in the know, however to judge all the scene by the passing away of the underground would be a very sad thing. There was a breif period were trance in japan had some bad elements inside but that is history, There have been no fights or suh things for a very long time in any of the events i have attended. As for the VQ team being to big for isra tance you are very mistaken, i am from their team and am here allways. pluss all our emails get answered. If you have anything you would like to know please be in touch with me personally my email is available
and yes Mitsumoto is still with us and still rocking. he is tech trance and is very good at what he dose!!!

I'm sorry Morgana, but I am not dissillusioned about trance in japan. I haven't been to a party since 1997, but am going on the words of my fellow Isratrancers above as well as those of the many japanese friends I have that came here to LA from Japan recently. They "ALL" say the same thing. VQ is all about promoting themselves and making money, which is disturbing to "hear" in my opinion, so I started this to hear from VQ themselves. Thank you for responding, but Hikari was the one who needed to hear from you guys. So, after this I assume that you are here just to see what is going on and interact, but when I go on the Japanese board, I see that you are here only to promote a party (Sub 6, Juvenile, etc.). What else are people supposed to think?

hi fellow Japanese trance addicts

I just wanted to say that Vision Quest does in fact answer emails and phone calls, and even returns phone calls, I know this from my own personal experience dealing with VQ recently. Tania herself takes the effort to try and answer questions and inform the people, and this is not an easy job, there is a lot of people asking a lot of things from VIsion Quest. Vision Quest is in no way perfect, but they have improved immensely over the last year after some of their internal changes, and I personaly believe the direction they are headed in is more positive than the past. Uncle BOb you sound like my Uncle for sure, complaining that VQ is only on hear to promote their parties, well no shit they organize parties so what is wrong with promoting them, this is a free board centered around trance, and uncle bob please stop the analyzation of the "feeling" or "vibe" of the Japanese psy trance scene because it is better than in a lot of other places, and us that have been here know how to find a good party and a good vibe. stop listening to the opinions of a few Japanese in LA and go to a party here now to see for yourself...you are the vibe

well to tell the truth... The scene in japan as far as i know is corrupt.
Many artists and people from other scenes may not know anything or see anything but as far as i know its corrupt. Im sorry VQ and other organziations here in the FORUM but thats just how it is.
I can say this for a lot of organizations, but using a mafia as a source of back up... Having parties on the same day on purpose so that the small ones go down... All the bad talk about who is bad in the scene etc....
That is how the scene in Japan is... it is the truth. I will not accept any other answers because i know it, saw it, heard it, felt it.
I have talked to many organizations, all of them say it is for the vibes, for the best of psychedelic trance, or they are trying to make the trance scene better etc.... but its all BUSINESS in the end. This goes with any organization. Japan has just become to mainstream of a scene to throw a party just for the people, vibes etc...
It is a big Business opportunity. The way i see it its not bad. so why doesnt the organizations just admit that this scene is where the money is at!!
Because it is. Sorry to be so greedy, but come on, those who are living in japan, you should know what i mean.
I agree with those who say the good ol days of the psychedelic scene is dead. But like morgana said it is part of history. I think its a good way of looking at it.

Basically, by saying that they are here to promote parties only proves my point, so thank you Kowens. My Japanese buddies were right and only make me reluctant to go back to Japan. So thanks Kowens.

Hikari, thank you for the info. I'm glad you were chosen as the moderator for this site. It shows you care about trance and the people involved, not only the money you can make.

PEACE, LOVE and TRANCE.
Not MONEY, oh yeah, and peaceloveandtrance.
