Almost more than the Occupation, it's the attitude of many Israelis towards people who disagree with it that has put me off playing in Israel for the past 2 years. Your vituperative and unnecessarily personal posts here are a case in point, but I can also refer to a text dump of a thread I started during Operation Pillar of Defense in 2012; what I got back from some Israelis after I posted a bit of sarcasm about what was going on really broke it for me. Death threats and stuff. You're in there too Yaron, want me to quote you? Your attitude hasn't changed much.

I know a lot of arabs, I know even a lot or arabic because it's a very deep and poetic langauge and I like to know more and to be able to communicate and to know of what Im talking about.
If it would be possible I would enter Palestina to help to rebuilt but your war crime president and his army hasn't allowed to enter this zone to help and rebuild.

my grandparents were kicked out of iraq like many jews were following israeli independance. they came to israel with NOTHING, forced to leave all their belongings behind.
my father spent the first few years of his life in what can only be described as a refugee camp with no running water, sewers in the street and living in a shack.

don't you think it is time colin that you directed you energies and text towards defending another historically represed people that have had MILLIONS killed for thousands of years starting with rome and up till today? isn't it time you look to your own jewish heritage and embrace that part of you instead of denying it and doing everything you can to alienate yourself from it? is there some deeper issue going on with you and your self identity in regards to judaism or something? seriously wondering.

Actually Yaron right now I've got an Israeli promoter trying to persuade me to go out there with Steve and play OOOD live (Steve is booked to play there in November). I've told him why I'm not up for it and he understands, and although he disagrees with me he still wants me to come. That's the 3rd or 4th booking enquiry I've had for Israel in the last 2 years; every time someone asks me to play there I pass it on to someone else in the band.
So yeah, let's get things straight
