First of all, dear Kobi from orphaned land has left MDMA records about a month ago.
and secondly, Metal and Psychedelic trance may have some similar bases (as in basis), yet, there are also big differences between both.
I listen to both metal and psytance and many other genres, I'm very open-minded when it comes to music, and I -- actually -- find more distinctions than similarity between both.
but you know, there are some genres which combine both (even Industrial stuff, and also former BM bands/'fans', such as Ulver/Dark Soho or even IM -- who are still listening to Metal).
I find depth in both genres, but honestly -- by now, metal attacts me even more than psy.
But I'm experimenting some other genres
these day, so I'm not such a good example after all  .

I'm a potential heavy metal nut - at the age of 13, I loved metal... later that year, I heard my first trance album. It's all a mater of what you're looking for in the music. In a moment of extreme self-honesty, I'll put it like this - the charm that psychedelic trance has over me is because it is extremely "logical", even the most intense psychedelia from the most extremely musical bands ever - Pink Floyd, Ozric Tentacles and Vangelis's wonderful soundtrack for Blade Runner... They have everything I want on every level - other than order in sound. The perfection psychedelic trance has reached in that one criteria, especially Simon Posford (the one person who can define perfection in sound, IMO), is unequalled in any other style. The human voice IMO, is just another instrument, and in that, less "perfect" than a synthesizer. Same as a piano, or an electric guitar, or whatever. Viva la trance!

a lot of people say metal is so noise music...and it isn`t all time so agressive guys...exist some undergroud bands of doom metal and it's a kind of melodic metal...
or who likes classic music: Ulver - kveldsfanger is GREAT!!!!
anyway trance & metal is my life...both of then rocks...

well i've heard Tsjuder demo and one ep havent heard any albums ,the ep was kickin! the demo quality was unlistenble eheheh , Marduk its not exacly death , but for sure not the cold norvwegien stuff havent heard Isvind , well i talked about marduk becuase our dear friend advised to all the anti metal ppl to start hear the melodic stuff and fuck that !!! its not the way things should be or ya like metal or ya dont!!! eheheh , talking about Saytricon ya heard the last album? its disgusting!!! Sytar is a looser now !!! heheh
