I am get tired very fast from tracks with long and clear melodies. Maybe that’s the Rison that goa Trance is dead?
But with tracks without melodies at all, It can never happen.
What about u? Or is it just me?

it's just you

...a bit more seriously: i don't think goa is dead for instance, it's just shape-shifting. and if the track has got a really good melody it'll touch your soul and live long inside you as a feeling. tracks without a melody can't really do that. rhythms don't live so long inside you (well, inside of me anyways). what i'm trying to say is that the most memorable tracks for me tend to be the ones with a enchanting melody although i appreciate and have a longing for rhythmical tracks too.
the rhythm is for your body, the melody for your soul

The drums and rythm can sure take you places, just as good as with intricate melodies.

Melodies just have to keep moving and evolving to keep interesting.

maaan, please don't say things like that. music can not die! The reason why you got bored from melodic elements in tracks is probably because they are too long and repeat few times. I'd save a good melody for climax of a track with a short melodic intro prior to that.

Since melodies, never mind the complicity and skill are still much more accessible to mind then other methods of creating a psy track ( such as atmospheric elements, melodic elements created by percussion, and rhythmic games and progression ), those melodies will ever be more 'boring' for the long run then Trance that is was created with other tools I made as an example.

The more accessible the music is to the listener, the faster he will switch to other track. For me the greatest trance I heard is the one that even year or two after I was surprised to find new and hidden elements in it. I can point out Koxbox - The Great Unknown as one of those rare creations.

Unfortunately most of the ppl dont think the way I do and always seek for this melody that will save them of the monotone deepness that is actually the core of the trance. While the melody that they are looking for is nothing but distraction from the tranced state of mind.

As an artist I can say that to write really Trancy melodic track is very very hard. I think that the group that really succeeded in it while they were making melodies ofcourse are X-Dream : I would wish for all the melodic trance creators to check out X-Dream's early works such as Eleven, We Created Our Own Happiness, Rain etc.. to get the idea.

yeah man gotta love that man he plays the drums like i breath!

but try listen to him play along with bassist and guitar player! i find it more "whole" then 1 man drumming.

and yeah its about taste..
