LOVE AND DEVOTION the Official Before and After Party of the SF LOVE
PARADE!!!
2 amazing nights of live and dj international and local psytrance/goa
masters as well as much much more! All of this wrapped into the official
LOVE PARADE before and after parties hosted at none other than the new super
deluxe private, legal, downtown venue... THE BLUE CUBE, thanks to John Wood
and Terrance Alan!
Heres the low down...
On Friday night we will have two rooms of psy featurning an
uplifting/full-on area and a dark /psychotic area. Each room will feature
live and dj set performances from local west coast producers and masters of
music mixing. Friday will go from 10pm - 4am and cost $10. More info on the

Saturday Night
We are overjoyed to announce the return of three of SFs favorite producers
Sets from: EARTHLING aka CELLI FIRMI, JIRAH, and DJ MAX of SIRIUS ISNESS
as well as the premeier perfomance of INFINITE WEB and AEON. Look for sets
from Liam Shy, Wichdokta and Doctor Spook.
There will be a full line up of Visual Talent and lighting specialists who
will be giving amazing and unique performances as well as amazing world
music perfomed live by Artemis, Hands on Black Earth, Yosh with Live
Flemenco Guitarists Rob Watson and Nico from LA, Sonjah, Heartlove the Super
Hippy and more!
The official Love Parade After party will start at 9pm and go till 7am!!!
Saturday night will be $20 presale and $25 at the door so get your presale
tickets soon at Distractions on Haight st. at the party on Friday the 1st of

Both nights will be located at THE BLUE CUBE 34 Mason @ Market in San
Francisco. 18+ with ID 21+ to drink. Amazing vegetarian and ominivorous Food
served all night.
This party was originally billed as the NORTHERN CALIFORNIA ARTS AND MUSIC
FEST aks the PSY ARTS festival. We are now moving from the nor cal out door
local to the new spot in San Francisco.
We are sorry if the change of venues alters anyones plans (this was going to
be outdoors) but now we can be in conjunction with The LOVE PARADE!!!
so start getting excited about this amazing 3 days in SF.

should be a good party. Although i think mubali is playing a little early to cause many mass casulaites, still should be really good
Celli, is always great, and the new Sirius Isness stuff is amazing (best live set i saw in my two weeks and two festivals in Portugal)
so im sure Max will throw down.... |

except for mubali, I would say the second room looks just as uplifting as the first one. Well, random writes some seriously bad ass stuff, especially that song with the radiation sample, but personally, I think the term psychotic is mis applied here, for room two, no? And one hour sets, whats up with that. and I completely agree, mubali is one of the most bad ass producers locally. he is way up there, with ghreg on earth, and vector selector. Are these people all out of town, why are they not on the line-up?
mubali, you should be on at 3 in the morning, not ten at night. but then again, no one asked for an opinion. |

I wouldn't rule out BohdiSattiva.... He makes some incredible stuff that can fit in almost any sound. Really super psychedelic stuff there, and I am surprised he isn't very well known up here in the bay area. I am proud to know this guy and he has really influenced how I make my music.
It's a very important test as a dj to be able to play music for any time of day or night. I doubt that I will always be able to play the killer 3 am time slot, but that's ok... It would be nice to play some more subdued stuff anyway... We'll see how long I can do that before I just end up playing a whole bunch of Horror Place... And I have a few tracks that work a lot better in a more uplifting lineup rather than at an all dark style event. Diversity keeps one from being a one trick pony...
It would be one thing if I were playing a LIVE set at the opening slot, but since it is a dj set, it'll give me an opportunity to play some stuff that I haven't played out before or that is too bouncy for the dark crowd. Variety is the spice of life...
By the way, thank you very much for the compliments dirt dolphin, It's all a learning process for me, and I will continue to learn to do what I love.

mubali...you are very kind and open minded but dont rule out the importance of having the right music at the right time...you for sure are later than 11pm i know you can tone it down for the time slot but why not give you the chance to not tone it down:) aalso you are also the most late night person on the lineup....

mubali, I agree with sho. Play your fat shit. don't cater to the status quo. your phat music can help redefine what people expect out of a psychedlic party. You know. Sure, you could play something fluffy for the first trac, like void or azax or something, then mix in your killers that you wrote, and watch people wake up!!!! from my friends travelling I hear we are one of the last safe places for music that isn't fluffy and melodic.

I agree with not catering to the staus quo, but playing the wrong thing at the wrong time and killing a dance floor is worse than giving in to the forces that be.
WE are djs, or producers of dance and head music. Our job is to move the dance floor and/or enlighten the minds of those listening.
If you are only playing music for yourself or a select few in the crowd... well,
IMO. your doing a piss poor job or what you are there to do |
